  Thanks for the submissions. Please don't withdraw any existing drafts. We'd like to try a different approach to illustrate the theme of inspiring people to "reach" "monumental" "heights" in terms of reaching for a goal or reaching for and achieving great success. We'd still like to have a representation of a DC monument, but maybe a little more discrete or symbolic, such as by using negative space or a silhouette, or something impressionistic. It should relate to the theme of striving for or reaching for great achievement. Using a low angle perspective in the design might help to give the impression of looking upward and striving to to reach a goal. The red, white and blue flag imagery used in some drafts is attractive, but could be either too expensive to reproduce, or might look too busy, so it's probably best to steer away from that. Thanks.

  Thank you for your submissions so far. The inclusion of the Washington Monument in #6-12 is good, as it ties very well into the theme of "reaching monumental heights." Our only concern is that some people might see "suggestive" imagery. Please don't rule out using it however. Drafts #3, 4 and 5 -- the imagery of the two towers in #3 and the vertical steps in #4 and #5 is unclear as to how it relates to DC. Please use arabic numerals, not roman numerals (as in #6).
