Ye Olde Steppes is a wonderful shop and the heart of the community in the village of Pembridge, Herefordshire, England (see url for building :http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/2144884 ) . Built in the early 1500's (Tudor) this listed black and white property is being opened as a new business to serve the local community. The aim of the shop is to provide quality local produce, home baked goods and essentials for the people living in and visiting the village. The property is named after it's steps that are shared with the entrance to a wonderful old church with it's famous free standing bell tower (see link picture bottom left : http://www.eastviewselfcatering.co.uk/index.php?id=88 ) . Ye Olde Steppes was originally the rectory to the church. The shop will be tradtional, quaint and very country shabby chic. Fruit crates and hessian sacks will be filled with fresh fruit, preserves, local diary produce and tasty homemade goods ( like this :http://www.thesussexproducecompany.co.uk/Home.html ) . The tearoom will be quaint essentially traditional english tea room with bone china teasets, loose leaf tea,dressers, floral cushions, a wood burning stove and tasty home baked treats including cupcakes and tasty bites. The logo will be used in the shop on the back wall, on the paper bags for customers, the products that we produce in house, staff uniforms and local advertising. |
