Thank you so much to everyone that entered a design for this project. Your concepts were all very different but the worthy winner was chosen as she grasped the vision from the start and worked to get the concept just how we wanted it. Thank you again.
#14 I like that you have incorporated the shop into the sign, looks really smart. From asking opinion a few people have said it looks a little frightening! I think it's probably the gothic text. Makes the place look a bit haunted (which it no doubt is). I suppose we're going for a bit softer and more welcoming. Great designing though :)
#11 - I like this too, I think that the top one with the bottom line not curved looks best, could the font be a little bigger or bold? I only think this as it looks more prominent on #8. Work colleagues very impressed by this design! :)
Hope the new uploaded pictures of the shop over the last couple of hundred years have helped! I love the shop with the old horse and wagon and ladies dressed in there finest! Thanks for the great entries so far! Gary
#8 Fab! This looks really nice. I wonder could we try the Ye Olde Steppes (curved in an arch?) above the shop then the Pembridge Village Shop & Tearoom along the bottom? You've really grasped the concept!
#7- This is really interesting, I like how you've incorporated the steps, I think I prefer the grey and white as looks slightly more simplistic! Would be interesting to see some more incorporation of the building or the ye olde styling though I like how you've used the roof pattern on the top! :)
#6-looks nice but I would love to incorporate either the building style or the traditional font into the logo! The logo also needs to be easily repeatable for paper bag and uniform branding. :)
Yes mnorth, it's a fantastic location! I've just uploaded some pictures of the house 100 years ago and 200 years ago! The house was built as the rectory to the church and became a shop in early 18th Century! The history is important to the brand and logo. :)
draft #4 Really liking this design, the writing is a little 1920's-esque which I hadn't thought of and it looks great! The tagline looks a snug fit, really nice :) A slight shift of image persective to the left would be really interesting to see!
#1 and #2, I thin the designs are very simplistic and don't fit best with the brief. Think about the tag line inclusion, have a look at some of the pictures of the shop, this might help!! :)
