In closing the contest, I thank you all. We heartily recommend your services and the competitive cost you all provided us. I wish you all the very best on your next project(s) and in achieving your goals in general.
The response here at Logo Design Guru has been fantastic. I appreciate all the dialog and work you have all put into our project. As we are unable to reward all of your work financially, our best wishes to your continued successes goes out from us to you and yours.
A special thanks to Sniperwuf, who reminded us all that regardless of written laws there are ethical considerations to bear in mind while we all seek to better our lives through our work.
I was not encouraging IP infringement. I stated that other's ideas (mostly mine as I am providing the guidance for our company's concepts to be represented to the public in the logo I am paying for) could be used. My intent was for others to put their own flavoring on images using what I have made known appeals to me. I did not tell anyone to "COPY" a "CONCEPT IMAGE". I encouraged the designers to use one another's works and not worry about IP infringement at this stage.
Furthermore, where does one learn how to design and draw if not from another's work then where? Where do your ideas come from - are they not encouraged and influenced by your exposure to other's ideas and works combined with your experience? As for not using CONCEPTS... If you do not use other's concepts and build upon them with your own talents and thought process where would you be? Where would we all be if we had no concepts to build upon?
I respectfully request you to have your comment removed and mine if you still find it offensive. Again, I respectfully submit to you that as I am the one steering the concepts and other's can build upon them freely without regard to IP infringement. I did not say COPY that logo. The CONCEPTS we are using are hardly original when another puts their hand to making them their own.
I fail to see where anyone copied a DESIGN of any designer in this project. Concepts such as checks and arrows going both ways and turning negatives in to positives are hardly something one can IP license, until they put them on paper and someone actually COPIES their work.
I remain grateful for your work and efforts on our behalf.
** Dear Designers: Xalz upper and lower case font use. We prefer the fonts/wording to form a rectangle. We prefer the use for two check marks for our actual symbol in the designs submitted to date.
As always, thanks for all your work.
The final seven are encouraged to use one another's works and not be mindful of IP (intellectual property) rights. If you need help for remediation for your ideas with larger clients you know who to call. Put your ideas forth and I will make sure you get paid for internet buttons to advertising to licensing designs. Xalz means get your agreements in writing and increase your cash flow for outliers.
I need web, letterhead, biz card, internet button, etc work. We can pay you cash for Xalz work and spread around the burdens for contract work - make sure you get paid and get your agreements in writing!
FEEDBACK FROM OUR CLIENTS - We were wrong to suggest monetary colors. Our clients and associates have suggested they like design #3 and #8 for clean designs with easy to look at colors. Design #16, #23 and #31 have also been getting good feedback.
Design #3 and design #8 have been mentioned as representative of some of our larger clients, which have included companies ranging from CBS to Lifetime TV. We like the idea of properly representing these clients, however our smaller clients are just as important to us.
THANK YOU FOR ALL THE WORK. More feedback will be forthcoming.
Images that convey contract reconciliation, such as the attached two people shaking hands with a third mediating the agreement, are most welcome. If anyone can come up with a representation of a contract and/or an agreement over a contract I would be grateful.
Design #21 - Good looking design changes to include the check mark in your "X". Please try placing the cash flow inside the coin and place "Commercial Collections" below your design.
Design #22 - The subtle color changes definitely add to the design.
** I will start getting some outside input into the three and four star changes tomorrow. Thank you all for work. We will bump up the prize money a touch.
Draft 15 - even more representative of worldwide commerce and slyly indicative the role of accounting and collections when combined with our tagline. Please remove the comma in front of your vertical "Inc."
Design #12 - Your "X" in the box in design #6 can be combined with a check mark to great effect. Please try placing your check mark as one of the diagonal portions of the "X" This design in 12 does not communicate turning an X into a check mark on a balance sheet. I would attempt combining an X and check mark inside your box in design #6
Design #13 - Nice design and the arrows symbolize two-communication or remediation to me. Please remove the comma in front of "Inc" and try a different font.
*The dollar symbols are a bit too overt for our taste. Our job is not all about the money. We must also assist our debtors (extended clients) in their recovery process, which involves much more than just the bottom line/dollar.
Draft 7 - Logo and font look good. I like the way you are working in the X in your symbol.
Design 8 & 11 - The logo looks great and I appreciate the multiple background colors in your submission. Additional designs using the symbol as the letter "X" in our company name are encouraged.
Keep the designs coming please - your assistance is greatly appreciated!
Draft #3 - The graphic logo evokes an image of positive and negative cash flow on a balance sheet and is quite pleasing. Additional versions of the logo with different font, coloring, and possibly our tagline are wanted. The simple is appealing, especially with the graphical logo's representation of positive/negative checks or monetary instruments (checks).
Draft #4 & 5 - I like the graphical representation of the coin. Please try adding the "cash flow" near the spine of the coin and leave commercial collections under "Xalz".
Draft #6 - I invite you to continue making changes to the graphical representation portion of your logo. We want the symbol itself to represent our job of turning collection or "remediation" issues (see our attached symbol representing two people shaking hands over a remediation of their contract) back into cash flow, which is the life blood of most businesses.
Draft #1 - I like the smaller "Inc." in relation to Xalz. The dollar symbol is too overt and till not allow for international market growth. A coin image might be better.
Draft #2 has an interesting logo, however the logo as a whole comes off as a bit plain.

#3 & #8 - the symbol conveys turning negative into positive.
#58 - the symmetry of all the font/wording being used to make a rectangle is very appealing. It conveys tightness and has an orderly look to it.
#82 & 83 Good looking symbol
#85 I like your font choice.

If you prefer, please feel free to substitute "COMMERCIAL COLLECTIONS = CASH FLOW" with "REMEDIATION" = "CASH FLOW"
