    Hi All,

I really would like to see some logos WITHOUT borders. If you must put a border on then I much preferred the lacy and picture frame type ones. I don't like the floral ones. Only #26 has been submitted without a border since I asked.

    Thanks, Kirsty

attidesigns: I like your stacked cups in #32 and #31. I prefer the high contrast on the darker background. I really love the fact you have tried to show the cups as different styles and shapes as I own a really eclectic mix of cups!

The handles are beautiful but I think the outline of the cups looks a bit wrong where they meet each other. I like the fact that the cup in the top is a tulip shape as I do have some of these. Maybe the flowers are a bit over the top. If the pattern on them was simplified it might work better in monochrome.

j36g2: I've eliminated all your designs so far because I don't want a logo derived from a photograph no matter how many artistic filters you apply to it. I really do like some of the borders on your logos though, especially some of the lacy ones, so please do keep submitting ideas. I hope you don't find this too offensive I didn't want waste your time in following the same lines when I knew it wasn't what I wanted.

Hello. Some quick feedback on the designs so far:

I like the frames on #20 and #22. I like the flower on the top of the frame of #27. Although in #27 I don't like the blockiness of the banner. Maybe if it was a bit more fluid and natural.

I like the teacup in #27 and #20. I love the handle on the cup in #14. I think the foot on the teacup in #20 needs to widen out at the bottom rather than being straight.

I like the fonts in #9, #13 and #15. I think the fonts in #16 and #8 are too wispy and thin.

I love the deep green background in #13 and the soft beige in #14. However I still love the girly fresh colours in #15 so maybe we'll narrow colours down better once I feel we've struck the right mood with the picture.

Can I see some logos now without frames and backgrounds? I'm not convinced that this is the only avenue I want to consider. I'd also like to play around with the title - perhaps making more of 'Vintage Teacup' and adding 'Hire Company' as more of a strap line.

    Thanks to all.

Some more lovely suggestions. I'll give more detailed feedback after the weekend on each design. I'm afraid I can only get to a computer rather sporadically until Monday.

Can anybody come up with anything drastically different in the meantime?

    Hi, fixdesign and vintage.
Thanks for the new drafts. I really like both of the designs. I'd like to see #12 with a solid background instead of the motled background - is it a map of the world?

I can imagine something similar to #11 hanging down from a header almost as if it were a medallion on a ribbon. It brings a new angle which is good.

I consider both of these designs to be like a 'badge' because they have a border round them.

Could we see some of these designs converted into monochrome black and white? Thanks to fixdesign for seperating out the teacup in #12.

Is this what you mean when you say "badge" background?

Serartbutun: Love the use of the 'g' from Vintage in the top of the cup. Very clever. Although this would mean we could never use the illustration without the words. Please read the brief to see what I'm talking about. Also 'Teacup' is a very important part of our business name so it needs to be given much greater prominance.

j36g2: Welcome to the competiton! I like the grey colour you have used. The dashed frame in #9 is lovely. I also like the way you are going with the frame in #8. Maybe a bit bolder and in one colour, like a big vintage mirror frame? I'm not fond of graduated backgrounds as they are difficult to incorporate into other designs. More blocks of colour maybe? I like the selection of items you used in the pictures but I would prefer illustrations rather than photographs as i would feel like a bit of a cheat if we didn't have an exact matching teapot to the one in our logo if it was taken from a photo.

I would like to see more logos on what I call 'badge' backgrounds like #8 and #2. but I'd also like to see some suggestions of seperate wording and a picture logo. Take a look at the link in the brief for an idea of an illustrative stack of teacups.

gtwitz: I like that i could use one of the cups from the top of your logo #2 or #3 as a fav icon. this sort of multi function is just what i'm after.

    Thanks to all so far.

Hi Bhanu, thanks for your submission. Nice to see a different take on our logo idea. I'm afraid that I'm not a big fan of red and gold though, sorry.

Can we refer back to our brief: the picture part of the logo needs to be able to stand alone without the words, so it needs to include some reference in the picture to the subject of the business.

Really like the colours gtwitz. I like the swirls too. The butterfly is very me, and I do like it, but I'm worried that it won't appeal to all our potential customers. We don't want to rule out corporate event hire alongside weddings and christenings.

While we do like oddpots logo I don't want it to look like we're copying. Thanks for breaking the ice on this and keep them coming!

We quite like the logo that is used by one of our competitors (in a distant region), http://theoddpotcompany.co.uk/ - although we're not entirely sure if that's the direction we want to go in so we're totally open to suggestions!

Sorry serartbutan, you've posted in the wrong project!
