Draft #1 and 2 - very impressive so far. Would like to see something that acknowledges the nature of Vancouver Island, such as ocean, trees, orcas, salmon, bears. Not all of them, and not overwhelming, but a design that incorporates one or some aspect of those elements. Would also like to see "Vancouver Island" with equal emphasis on both words, rather than "VANCOUVER Island". Can be confusing, because Vancouver is a city that is not on Vancouver Island. Crazy Canadians. Finally, would prefer "Top 5 in 5" without "The".

Logo will be used on website, mailings, stationery, and possibly clothing.

What will the logo be placed on? Embroidery, t-shirts, business cards, internet?

This is an educational conference for doctors and nurses who work in emergency departments on Vancouver Island. We want the logo to reflect 1) Emergency medicine, and 2) Vancouver Island. We thought that having an outline of Vancouver Island as part of the logo would be nice, but we're open to ideas. Vancouver Island is very wild - green with plants and trees, blue with the ocean, and full of nature and wildlife, if it helps.
