#28 is heading in the right direction. #19 was too dark on the bottom, it almost looked purple. What I was looking for was to make the whole gradient darker from top to bottom. I think it's a little too light at the top. Can you go just a little darker from top to bottom? Also, I really like how you make "Bauer" in a distinct color. However, it's a bit too dark. Try to lighten it a bit and see how it looks. Thank you for the revisions!
Is there a difference between #17 & #18? Also, my primary target is a lighter background, but I like that it works on both.
For #15 and #16 could you darken the gray a bit. It may be that the font is so narrow that it looks lighter than it is, but perhaps a darker shade of gray would overcome that.
So far I'm torn between #10 and #12. I'm still partial to #10, but there's just something about #12 that keeps drawing me back to it. I've rated them both two stars since they're currently my favorites.
I actually like #11 more than #13. #14 is still not what I'm looking for. It reminds me of the Safeway grocery store logo. It only has one letter and it looks a bit plain. I'm not trying to be harsh, but just letting you know what I think. I do appreciate your attempts. Please keep it up and maybe we'll hit gold.
I like the concept behind #12. Although, I think the initials get lost in the box. It's ambiguous yet catchy. I'll have to show this to a couple of people and get opinions. Is there another way to present the initials in the box (i.e. different layout, different font)? Overall, however, I think it looks pretty sharp.
For #10, is there any way to tone down the gradient on the light background? I think the dark background looks great, but the white background makes it looked washed out.
I know that this is a function of the color so I want to ask you to use your opinion of what you think would look good. I'm flexible on the colors if it needs to go to a darker tone, etc. I still like #10 the best, but could you darken it a little so it doesn't looked so washed out on a white background?
If it's not possible to look good on both backgrounds and I need to choose one over the other, please state that and I'll choose.
I like #10. I only gave it two stars because it's still early in the process and I wanted to leave room for surprises, but so far that's my favorite design.
I like to font for #11 and I think the design is clean, but it's a little too simple for what I'm looking for.
I like #2 best so far. Are there any other fonts that would work. The current one looks a bit "hard", which may not be a bad thing, but I'd like to see a different font to contrast, if possible.
#7 is nice as well. The difference is that #2 seems more eye catching, while #7 seems more soothing. I really like how #2 incorporates the initials as a logo along with the name. It's almost like there are two logos in one.
I like the idea of #1, but I think it's confusing. I get the "iT" in the middle, but it took me a second to think about it. I would certainly like to see a draft with a graphic incorporated, however, I don't think the current one hits the mark.
Thank you all for your first drafts! I look forward to seeing your responses to my feedback. Please feel free to ask me any questions. I want this process to be successful.
I'm not sure how to update the brief, but after some more thought on the colors, I prefer aqua/blue (think Skype, Twitter,etc.). I will look at other color choices, but if the design looks good in aqua/blue, than that would be my preference.
