I want to emphasize that the purpose of these cards is to attract attention and get the reader to go to the website to look for walks or other activities that they might want to do. So the website needs to be prominent and connected to the text in a way that says 'go to this website to find a walk or activity in a cool place you'd enjoy visiting just outside your door.'

The photos used need to look like RI. We don't have any hills or mountains in Rhode Island (highest elevation about 500 feet) and we are the Ocean State so much of our landscape is dominated by shoreline of the ocean and bay and by glacial ponds etc. Best photo is probably not just coastal because many of the land trust properties are not on the shoreline. People walking a trail is great. Would be nice if they were a family or a senior couple because that image would speak to our target audience (see brief).
We found some stock photos on "www.thinkstockphotos.com" to give you the feel of RI. check out #92804427 (red gate - eye catching but nonspecific could be any gate in the state) #86528266 #92098086 #13457610 #91630499 #91620275 - we are not suggesting you use these but wanted to give examples so the photos on the designs submitted don't look like we're in the alps.

We do not think that multiple photos on one side of a card work well - it just becomes noise and doesn't get seen when viewed in a rack or on the counter of a coffee shop.

The Land Trust Days logo does not need to be very large. It is not well known and will not attract people to the card or the events so when it is big, it takes up a lot of real estate but does't help us functionally (getting people's attention, interest in land trust days and going to the website to find an event they want to attend) - we are just beginning to brand it.

Please have the QR code on the rack cards and post cards

In general we prefer to avoid reverse type for these products.

The post card piece is just post card size but not going to be mailed. So there is no need for space for the stamp and to write in an address or to meet post office standards for mailing. The concept for the post card is really just another "rack card" type of promotional product but with a size that works better for coffee shop counters where they don't have racks but want to promote our events.

    Attention Designers,

Our policy for stock photos has changed and is effective immediately.

MycroBurst does not recommend the use of stock images. However, if you are submitting a design that uses a stock image (ex: website design) it is mandatory to provide the source of the image. Please provide the source in the comment section when uploading. Logos and stationery should NEVER use stock and/or clipart images. Any draft not following these guidelines will be withdrawn.

    Thanks,

    MB/LDG Team
