Thanks for everyone's hard work. It has been a great project.
I'm very happy with the design I have chosen, and don't think I'll be able to improve upon it so have closed the project so I can get the files and get my stationery ordered.
Excellent work on the last set of revisions. I have eliminated some of the early drafts - and those which are no longer in the running.
I'm hoping with a day to go we can just get that last 10% of improvement and then I can select a winner.
I have realised that with all the drafts in the running I'm struggling to be 100% happy with any of the text placement of names, titles, address, contact details and so on the letterhead and comp slips can I ask that your next revisions REMOVE the contact text and just focus on the graphic design and placement of the simple square logo (not even the company name).
Business cards are OK with text as placed - thank you. Dont remove them on the business cards.
I can drop text myself onto the supplied final files based on your existing suggestions and it means I won't have to remove them if I am not 100%, and that I can handle variations for other staff members contact info....
So directed comments...
@Deck86 - draft#22 really love the wave design at the base - please use this draft as the basis for any revision. What I would to see for the letterhead is the very bottom part of this - which is at the base of the page in a solid blue taken from the logo. I'd like some solid colour to anchor the top and bottom of the letterhead. The three waves above it can stay as they are semi-transparent.
I would also like to see a solid top in the same colour as the chocolate/grey I use on my site with just the square logo in it (not meonshore studios) either as a small inverse wave as in the examples in draft #27 - across the width of the page, or maybe just a small section of it.
Comp slip - again would like to see a solid top and base as per the letterhead and please remove the "compliments text" and contact info. I will add once finalised.
I would like to see a DVD face in choc/grey and white please to complete the set of products.
@Crea8ivebrain - thanks for splitting the designs out - I think I will need a submission with everything on the same draft as well which I could finalise.
Business cards: draft #24. Please KEEP and don't alter the two lower designs. These are perfect as card fronts. Can I ask that you add a back for each of these in case I need to have a card with a back (rather than using a full bleed image). I'd basically like the front design with all the text and logo removed just leaving the white or chocolate/grey with the wave design at the opacity you have them.
Please see my comments to @Deck86 ref his interpretation of the wave for your letterheads, comp slip and DVD. I really like the way it has been done in draft #22 and I'd like to see you consider how a solid base from the logo would work in your designs
DVD Face: draft #26. Bottom left (choc/grey) is perfect with gradient, and grey wave. Can you remove the logo please and leave it plain. I can then drop in a size of logo/text to suit the use of the DVD. Bottom right (white) just needs the centre removed, keep the wave and remove the logo as per the other one. Simple on these works for me.
Comp Slips: draft #25. Again I like the opacity of the bottom one, and the solid top cutting the logo. I would probably prefer the wave to just be a reduced opacity of the one above rather than fading out on the RHS as well. Again please remove the text and just focus on the graphic design and logo placement and I will add in once I receive the files.
Letterhead: draft #27. Prefer the RHS design which mirrors the comp slip (logo on left being but by the solid top). Again see comments about a solid base, and please remove text and focus on graphic design and I will add in later myself.
On the solid top could you see what the LHS being slightly wider does to the design ?
Thanks again ! Looking forward to the next revisions.
@Deck86 - thank you for your initial drafts. Draft #14 is my preferred concept of your set to date. I'm not looking for a blue or grey card though - either white or the chocolate/warm grey of my website.
I do like the less opaque (more transparent wave) in draft #14
Please see my previous comments ref name/title printed on letterheads and comp slips - I just need company name.
@Crea8ivebrain - thanks again for your hard work. I think we are moving closer with your drafts. Maybe not all in one draft but across several.
Letterhead: from draft #11 on the left hand side is my preferred design so far. I'd like to see the blue wave made less opaque (more transparent) please. Can you add a solid chocolate area at the top of the page to include the logo and address details (the text will need to be white). The shape should be the inverse of the top part of the blue wave if that makes sense (so if you pushed them together they would make a perfect fit).
Comp slip: from draft #10 - same as letter head please...I'd like to see the blue wave made less opaque (more transparent) please. Can you add a solid chocolate area at the top of the page to include the logo and address details (the text will need to be white. The shape should be the inverse of the top part of the blue wave if that makes sense. Can you make "With compliments" in black.
DVD face: from draft #10 - the centre hole is a small one (I think about 16mm from memory but you could leave solid as my label software will remove it before I print. I think for the chocolate variant I'd be looking for the wave to be just a very subtle different tone like the comp slip in #14, and the white variant to be just more transparent. Is it possible to on the chocolate one to introduce a gradient into the centre from dark to light ?
Business Cards: from draft #4 and #6. Please make sure the landline is on top and the mobile phone below, as requested. I like the wave accent on the white business card on #10 but again would want it more transparent if you could bring it back to #4. On the chocolate card I'd again not want it blue but a lighter tone (same as the DVD face comment)
ref draft #9. LOVE the wave concept on the base of the letterhead and comp clip. Please continue with this.
some feedback on this draft:
- I'll need a white background on my letterheads and comp slip - not blue.
- I'm not looking for an envelope design - but I do need a DVD face
- I like the business card designs in draft #7 (in white and brown background) and would like these to be the basis of any refinements, along with our discussions ref the back-side.
- The letterhead and comp slips need my phone numbers, web, email and address NOT my name and title.
- The business card needs my name and title, and my phone numbers but NOT my postal address as in draft #7
Prefer draft #1 and #4 to the others - draft #4 is the best of the two details layouts. Also prefer NOT to have my postal address on the business card (comp slips and letterheads are fine with the address on).
Can you switch landline to above mobile number please....
I'm NOT looking to have "weddings and portraits" on the cards, or any of my images. If I use images then they will go full bleed on the rear one per card from MOO.
At the moment I like both the vertical and landscape variants.
@247design thanks for your draft, and for showing comp slips and letterheads. I'm probably looking for something with a little more of an eye catching design than the blocked header and footer - something with some shape, texture or highlight.
Hi - really looking forward to receiving drafts on this project.
For info please also see my website: www.meonshorestudios.co.uk and my blog
www.meonshorestudios.co.uk
to see how I have rendered this logo on a dark chocolate (warm grey) background which is my preferred accent/background colour for the stationery (card backs, DVD background, and any styling on the comp slips and letterheads)
PLEASE NOTE: I really need A4 (not Letter) if the letterheads are a fixed size as I am based in the UK and use this size of paper....
