I like the vertical effect on the left and right of 76
I like the toolbar (top) concept in 76
I like a blend between 73 and 76 for the mid-page toolbar (below product showcase) - I like how it's only the width of the content but I like the design of 73 a little better. Maybe it can be revised some in 76?
In 76 there needs to be some type of effect in the background of the header like a mesh/warp effect as when you move to a content page of the web site such as the forums you'll have nothing but a boring header with blue background.
Draft 76 - I prefer tabs at the top right
For all - I want to see a nice tab concept in the top left for the three web sites I use: Store | Help Desk | Forums

smartinfo - Draft 57 - I like the tabs on the top left - perfect! Nice search box concept as well. I don't like the background effect (mountains?) of the product showcase. I'd prefer effects such as I described previously as used in Windows 7 wallpapers, warp/mesh effects, etc. Make a white body to the page instead of the blue edges and consider a deep blue showcase? The toolbar isn't quite doing it for me but it's the best concept of all your drafts. Bottom half is okay, I want to get away from the rectangles on my web site that you used on the right side of the bottom section, looking for a unique new concept. Overall a nice and unique theme, would like to see a blue themed version of this concept maybe lending to what you started in draft 47
xpiderz - Draft 55 - not a bad concept, needs more work on the header. Proper RGB as I described for the deep blue and needs some background effects. Product showcase isn't bad, bottom half needs a unique concept and not use what my current web site uses.
Bruce - Draft 53 is my favorite thus far. I'd like to see three tabs on the top left for Store, Forums, Help Desk so it takes them to our three sites. Revise the top right tabs so they are a little more rounded, smaller, and artistic. Maybe even a tab where the edges are angled such as: \store/\forums/\help desk/ but with some rounded edges, etc. Just a thought. I like the bottom half, unique and well laid out. Logo is good, toolbar is good. I'd like to see an all blue theme of this concept maybe merging in the draft 51 theme?
We're getting close, I really like the recent concepts. Again, the HEADER is an important element as that style will be on all sites such as the forums where there is no room for an artistic middle section so the artistic flare needs to exist in the header or we have nothing more than a basic white/blue page.

I have this problem on my web site. We have three different areas:
-Store
-Forums
-Help Desk
It would be nice to have stylish tabs at the top so that people know which site they are in.

Still awaiting a unique design for the bottom half.
Also consider readability folks, people are not going to be able to read dark text on a dark background, it needs to be silver/lighter color which of course I can change but you should present your best concepts.

Interesting how they have that top half background. We could do a similar concept if you put the logo on the top left, the apple style toolbar below with search embedded in the toolbar (right side), toolbar would be floating over the aurora/warp/mesh effect, sub-toolbar below the main presentation, then content and sitemap below.

While the home page may look great, imagine leaving the home page and going to a content page, forum page, help desk page, etc. All of the color, the "wow" is left back at the home page.
So to fix this I think the HEADER has to have some artistic work. Make the header the deep/dark blue and add the aurora effect or the wavy lines as in the concept I posted (http://www.nc-software.com/images/concepts/webconcept.jpg)
I like the separate toolbar like Apple.com uses (draft 35). I like the logo being separate but if you want to look into incorporating just the "NC Software" part like you see in www.componentart.com that would be an idea?
I am torn between drafts 23 and 39. I really like the background effect concept to draft 39 as that could be taken to any other page of the web site.
The small content boxes below the main showcase area could have a left/right chevron and I could make it a scroller. So consider adding those boxes like in draft 35 sit in an inset panel with < and > on left and right edges?
I don't like the combined logo/toolbar in draft 39. I'd rather have the Apple style toolbar concept maybe with the search box on the right side of the toolbar? Leave the logo separate. Put the "My Account" and "Login" on the top right. We maybe could do like www.devexpress.com does with their very top?
Bottom line, think about sections. I need color/flare/design/wow in the HEADER so that is on every page of the web site whether a product page, forums, help desk, etc.
I mentioned earlier please try not to use my 6 product boxes like on my home page now, I need a NEW concept. Maybe like smartertools.com or watchguard.com does their text and icons, etc.?

Draft 31 - not bad, I'm not a fan of the multi-color toolbar below the main image area, top toolbar could probably be a black/glass/glossy setup?
Draft 32 - not bad either, a top tabbed toolbar may be nice, something unique. I looked at the other designs in your portfolio that you won and like those! Keep trying.

I love the "blue" concept for the product spotlight in Draft 23/24 however the rest of the page is lacking. What happens when we leave the home page and we no longer have that blue spotlight, we have a blah web page.
Try a concept where the entire page has a deep blue with aurora background (those wavy Windows 7 wallpaper graphics) and give me something that when I move off the home page I still have a "wow" effect on my visitors. Imagine you're looking at a product page on the Apple web site such as:

How would the theme flow in when there is no longer a product spotlight on the top 1/3rd of the home page?

I like how Abart makes better use of the bottom half for good content, the theme/scheme though isn't quite hitting it for me. I like more of the glossy/shiny effects for buttons, etc.
On that note "buttons" as this is an e-commerce site I will need a concept for the button such as Add-to-Cart or "Buy Now". You can put a button that themes in on the bottom half somewhere so that button concept can be used throughout the side wherever buttons will be clicked such as Submit, Add-to-Cart, Apply Coupon, Pay Now, etc.

Don't let this distract you, I'm pointing out two things:
1) The deep blue that was used
2) The warp/mesh affect I want to incorporate into the background of the header
I also like how draft #20 incorporated the windows 7 wallpaper "aurora" type effect, I like that too.
So keep working on a design that is like the sites I mentioned devexpress.com, smartertools.com, apple.com, mainly product pages on apple where it shows the product name in big letters, then content below such as: http://www.apple.com/macbookpro/

I like how sites like devexpress.com and smartertools.com flow full width of the page such as header toolbars, etc. yet the content fits the 1024x768 resolution. This will allow me to have some areas of my site such as forums be full width in content yet the headers will work in either fixed width or full screen width.
I like the aurora/mesh/warp concept too in a header. It's those fine lines that make a wavy/curvy flow we see in Windows 7 backgrounds, etc. Do a google IMAGES search on "windows 7 wallpapers" and you'll see the concepts I like.
