  Life preserver was to prominent and design was off a bit. Client would be interested in seeing a more subtle design, but still insists on the life preserver. Perhaps a stethoscope with a life preserver at the bottom (for the part a doctor listens to the patients heart with). Sorry for the confusion.

  Also with regards to the colors I like the Green or Blue as complimentary colors to the Orange that must be on the life preserver.

  The designs submitted so far are a good start however a key ingredient is the inclusion of a life preserver similar to this logo (I do not want to copy or rip off this logo in anyway) just want something that has a life preserver.
