Like NIKE or REGENCY or MEDIART - google image them with "logo" (mediart with lowercase a in circle)
Probably not, but don't want to rule out any good ideas that come, could be text only with the right treatment design,
ala CNN or SLICE EDITORIAL or THE BLAZE.

Font is a tough one for this I understand.
In addition to the last post, think CREATIVE ABSTRACT MARK like Regency logo (google it).
However, don't want an exact rip off, looking for design skills outside of our in-house resources and hopefully I have provided enough references and commentary.

MycroBurst permits you to submit unlimited designs with unlimited variations. However, if you are providing 2 or 3 different color versions of the same logo in one draft, please make sure that if the particular draft gets finalized, each color version should be separated before you will send the final files.

Getting somewhere.
If we were to continue with this one, I would simplify the mark over the eye so that maybe it is just the center triangle play icon without the square. Also may wish to try a few different the fonts. Also, maybe the mark by itself could be the triangle/play shape with P integrated some how.
#9 almost works as well but I like the layout you did of #10 better. Good idea to maximize the PELI and minimize the STUDIO. we had thought at one time of dropping the studio all together so this is good.
Perhaps leave this for now and return after other ideas come forth.

Now add your design sensibilities and skills. This is not exactly the idea or I could just do it myself being part designer. Looking for a skilled designer to take it to the next level.
Icon Mark "P" or some derivative of "P" or "Ps" plus Text Logo. Maybe a Square with a "Ps" in the lower right reversed out. (already tried but I am trying to give you a path to walk beside)
Keep in mind I have about 10 that I have designed including the one that has been in use for 2 years now which is font Businko with a custom i.
I did not think any of my designs were quite excellent enough yet I prefer them a great deal over what I have seen as of yet on Logo Design Guru.
Please Please Please take your time and dig down into your design talents. Getting a logo that represents our visual effects boutique well is of the upmost importance. In my experience, there is no way for this to happen fast. I drew about 25 sketches before I ever opened Illustrator and I am a compositor not a designer.
Maybe there is not mark, Maybe it's only a mark. Good designs are evolutions.
I will try and figure a way to post my sketches if someone thinks that may help.
