I have enough great designs to make my selection from. So no more submissions please :-) Thank you to everyone who has posted their ideas. And also invested time in making my requested revisions. I am only able to choose 1 winner, out of necessity and I apologies sincerely to the kind and talented designers who did not get chosen.
#101 Thank you Andig for your submissions. Especially like 101 and the elegant feather like insignia resting on top of the main lettering. If it can be tweaked a little so that it looks slightly less like 'evil eyes' then it's a big contender.
#50, #49, #47 Thank you Canonicsolutions. Very sporty feel to 50 + 49. Clever hint of futuristic orient too. It's clever but whether I'd want to incorporate any Asian influences, I'm not sure. I remain open minded. Of your 3 good designs, #47 would be my pick. Simple, elegant, clean, minimal. Like the graduated red backdrop but it's something I'll need to consider. I would need to be happy with red permeating the entire brand.
#48, love the drama of this. Overall it works for me. Perhaps the half shading of the main lettering and the sparkle is a little much. The drop shadow works. I'd have to decide whether the dramatic, very rich colour of the backdrop flourish is for me.
Thank you designpassionate. #38 stands out for me. It's similar to #7 which was a clear early favourite. Liking the very elegant 'vintage champagne' look to the background design. Think I prefer the high key white background. I'd be keen to see explore the possibility of having the background flourish as a separate logo stamp too - maybe within an oval. I'm less sure about the split logo as time goes by.
#39 sway99 thank you. Like the simplicity and the design on the H. I know it gives a lovely 'signature' feel but if I opted for this one, I'd probably look for something less obviously handdrawn I think. Something with less of a wobble on the down stroke. #34 is a big contender. I'm wondering about with the colours inverted so it becomes high key...
#36 Thank you. Like it just as much as the other but not more so even though it has a higher key look. The design itself is great. Maybe it's the colour of the font that will take some getting used to (I had always thought mono might be the best way forward - but I remain open minded)...maybe it's the grey but not clean white background. Maybe I have to decide myself whether I prefer pure white or off white!!
#35 very distinct logo. I like the idea. I'm thinking can the initials withing the circle be anything else other than my 2 initials... I always thought I preferred a background flourish as opposed to a separate logo placed on top but this has possibly changed my mind again - this looks good. I'm thinking the colour is maybe a bit strong and will polarise opinions. Perhaps a brushed aluminium substitute may be more generally appealing...
#34. I can see this logo on the side of an expensive designer carrier bag - the kind of bag they would walk out of the studio with carrying a £2000 album. Love the synmmetry of the background H flourish while the main font is not overly modern that the 2 elements jarr. Goes well together. The colour scheme, I'm not sure - I had always leaned towards high key - white or just off white background with black or dark grey main logo. I remain open minded.
#23 Love the simplicity again. Like the clever 'reflected D' background flourish. My thinking is that although I love the font of DAVID HO, it looks slightly too modern placed on top of the the elegant background logo design.
#26, #28 The simplicity and minimalist design appeals. Surrounded by lots of white space (e.g. the lid of a white wedding album box) it looks strong and confident. I think unless a VERY well sourced signature/script font is found, I would prefer a clear/strong unscripted font.
#33 Like the simplicity and cleaness of the design. Like the clear oriental font, the clarity and everything compliments the luxurious colours really well.
#13 Love how clean, modern and professional that looks. Hints of 'film making' about the logo which is clever. Strong font. Everything about it is very masculine. Appeals to me on a personal and professional level. Whether it's aspirational enough for my target market of affluent, discerning women, I'm not sure.
#19 Like the addition of the symetrical background. It's well chosen and compliments the 'cut in half' wording. I don't know if it's handdrawn, but a slicker/sharper version of the background would improve it even more. So that it doesn't look completely drawn by freehand. Same general design but more pro generated.
Now starts the copycat dance :) "Hey she got a 4 stars, let's just take the same concept". You guys are just too eager to grab a few easy won bucks, I mean really this is getting tireing.
David I would be happy to talk more about your logo to come even closer to what you are looking for :) I'll send you a private message right now.
Draft#12 and 11. If I was a painter/artist, then possibly. I'm looking for something much more defined and cleancut. The flourish just looks a bit too 'imprecise' and hand-drawn. It's quite hard to define...
