| We need a Logo with a stylized modern appearance that uses the font characters, the letters of our initials R, L, S, ( Robert & Linda Shade ) including the ampersand ( & ) or equivalent symbol, or any other initials linking graphic, and a background, surrounding enclosure, graphic that describes, relates to, our archives, the archiving of our personal files. Our initials may be horizontally reversed for visual balance, visual symmetry or dramatic effect or combined into one amalgamated graphic unit. We have no preferred typeface but typefaces to avoid are computer, script, serif, typewriter, comic and stencil. Background graphics elements to be avoided are computer elements, file cabinets, scrolls, fauna ( animals ) and flora ( plants ) living, dead, extinct or fantasy species. We will be archiving audio, video, image and text files so we need a generic graphic reference to our archives rather than four distinct individually styled or a combination graphic describing each of the four categories of files we will be archiving. This Logo will be printed in black & white only so no colors need be assigned. Because of the limitation of the printing process to be utilized the number of gray levels must be limited to no more than four equally separated gray levels, black, white and four grays. The printing process limits the detail to moderate detail, approximately 150 DPI. This Logo will be printed very small, no larger than ¾ in wide x 1 ½ in high. | ||
