Had a pow wow on our end. Brainstormed ideas. Might be neat to modify amphitheater concept in #2 to be more like two planks forming a lean-to, possibly with theatrical lighting hanging down (lighting up name?). Or perhaps two boards (planks) being used in one of the letters of the name and the name itself becoming the icon? Or maybe a 3D of the name sitting atop a pair of boards?
#7-10... like the attempt at an icon. Probably want to stay away from the masks, though, as they're too generic. Would love to find something that means us vs. any other theater.
So far like #2 the best because of the concert shell-like icon. Not sure it's the right image for us, though, as we're not likely to play such venues. The house we're looking to build will be more likely a 600-800 seat theater. Not tiny, but more intimate. We want the logo to be similarly inviting. Make attendees associate with the company, too.
More thoughts as we're waiting for designs to come in...
* Might be nice to see the idea of "planks" used iconically...
* Theater company is local and a start up, so perhaps a "grass roots" feel to the design would be nice (i.e., not a polished, Fortune 500 feeling).
* We attract young actors to work with us, from their tweens to their 20s. Don't want a "kiddy look," but something fresh and inviting with which young adults would associate.
* Remember, we are in suburban Connecticut. Not exactly a rustic, countryside feel, but perhaps walking the line between rural and Broadway.
Quick clarification and sorry if there was any confusion... this is a theatrical stage company (i.e., plays and musicals) and not a movie theater company.
MycroBurst permits you to submit unlimited designs with unlimited variations. However, if you are providing 2 or 3 different color versions of the same logo in one draft, please make sure that if the particular draft gets finalized, each color version should be separated before you will send the final files.
