Thanks everyone of the creativity. These are all great. Let's keep everything on one line (as opposed to an icon on top and TrueVillages underneath) and try to incorporate the icon (if you are proposing an icon) strongly into the design.

Also, please focus on making this logo/icon "web 2.0ish". So that it would look at home on a new social networking site, or along side the uploaded icon/logos (see uploaded logos).

RE; #1 from niklasiliffedesign. I like the gradient. I am not that fond of the outline around the letters (which makes it look like the Mycroburst logo). I like the tree concept. Is that a door into the tree? I like that. Maybe that door could be bigger and/or more prominent? Maybe the whole thing could be a little more "stylized"? Maybe different color options?
