The brochure should be 8.5" x 11", and it should be a full-size brochure rather than a tri-fold. The presentation/pocket folder should be 9" x 12", such that the brochure will be able to sit inside a pocket of the folder. Our red and gold shield/pendant (see our logo) needs to be incorporated into both the folder and the brochure. We are dedicated to offering a wide range of patenting solutions and legal services while maintaining the highest standard of quality. SERVICES: PATENT APPLICATION DRAFTING The Crandall Patent Group offers a unique level of legal and technical expertise in the art of drafting effective patent applications. Rather than preparing relatively short or rudimentary documents, we have adopted a unique drafting style that yields a relatively comprehensive patent application, which helps to increase the scope of intellectual property protection obtained once a patent has issued. Moreover, as an international law firm, our applications are tailored to meet the heightened disclosure requirements of various foreign jurisdictions that are of particular interest to many of our clients (such as Europe, China and Japan). In this manner, our applications are drafted so as to help maximize the protection afforded our clients both in the U.S. and abroad. PATENTABILITY SEARCHES AND TECHNICAL CONSULTING Patentability searches can be helpful in determining the likelihood of patent procurement for a specific invention. The Crandall Patent Group specializes in conducting patent-related searches of both domestic and foreign patent documents to help our clients to explore the state of the art in a particular field and identify the patentably distinct elements of an invention that should be focused upon in a drafted patent application. Our clients are also able to obtain technical consulting services from our engineering associates to further develop the technical aspects of their inventions for purposes of patent procurement and continued product development. PATENT PROSECUTION The Crandall Patent Group specializes in successfully prosecuting U.S. patent applications before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. We implement specialized prosecutorial techniques to obtain relatively high degrees of protection with respect to our clients' coveted technologies. We also work closely with U.S. patent examiners to expedite patent issuance while helping to minimize the financial expense to our clients. Moreover, as an international law firm, we work closely with many of our foreign associates to prosecute patent applications in countries all over the world, including, but not limited to, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Europe, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Israel, Japan, New Zealand, the Phillipines, Russia, South Korea and Taiwan. PATENT PORTFOLIO ADVISING AND MANAGEMENT In addition to drafting and prosecuting "parent" applications for our clients, we aid our clients in managing their patent portfolios by constantly analyzing our clients' disclosure documents, and engaging in technical discussions with their inventors and in-house representatives, to determine if continuation or divisional applications may be filed for patentably distinct technologies. We also advise our clients on the potential benefits and financial costs associated with these additional applications so that they can make informed decisions regarding the expansion of their respective patent portfolios. ASSIGNMENTS AND LICENSE AGREEMENTS The Crandall Patent Group specializes in helping our clients to financially benefit from their respective technologies by negotiating and drafting assignment contracts and license agreements for inventions and other intellectual property rights. Similarly, we can aid in the process of intellectual property acquisition by drafting contractual agreements tailored to the specific needs of our clients. We can also provide assignment contracts for technology transfers to be filed with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, as well as conduct the requisite "due diligence" to confirm that a clear chain of title exists for the transferred intellectual property. INFRINGEMENT AND VALIDITY OPINIONS An infringement opinion is useful in determining if a particular product infringes the legal claims of an issued patent. As an intellectual property firm that specializes in patent law, we are able to study patents issued by third parties and compare the legal scope of protection of the issued claims with the features of our clients' products to analyze the likelihood that such products present legal infringement issues. Similarly, we can help to identify those products that may be infringing our clients' patents. Moreover, we have the ability to issue formal validity opinions to support an argument that an issued patent is or is not valid. LITIGATION Our litigation practice encompasses a broad range of legal matters, such as patent, trademark and copyright infringement, trade secret protection, trademark dilution, trade libel, unfair competition, contract disputes, product liability claims, and other business-related matters. Additionally, as an international law firm, the Crandall Patent Group has the ability to coordinate global efforts to protect our clients' interests both domestically and abroad.
