Thank you designers! We had a few great designs but I could only choose one. I really appreciated the fast responses and creative work. Good luck in your future projects.
Best regards,
Dan
#49 - Thanks for the new and different entry! Although the decision process has already begun, I've thrown this in there for comparison to other semi-finalists.
#35#36#37#38 - Thanks for including these variations. When we have different implementations like this to look at, it can reduce or eliminate any final tweaking.
#41 - Good! Because this is different from other designs I'm inclined to include it in the final review, even though the design element (graphic) and text don't seem very integrated. That's OK, though. Thank you!
#46 - Hey, this is cool. This will go into the room for final selection, but I would strongly suggest including a version without any gradient applied to the letters. (Currently it looks like the first "L" in "JOLLA" is lighter because of some effect.) This may look a little stronger than the gradient version.
ACEdesign...
If you have time, please make two drafts with the following... #7 graphical design element with #18 type layout, and #7 graphical design element with #20 type layout.
Thank you!
#1 has been eliminated because #14 & #15 are refined, updated versions of that design by the same artist. Thanks. It's cool to see that the first fundamental design in the door is still a very strong candidate!
#29 & #30 - These are eliminated because the graphical design element still has the bars going down to the right after the third bar. See my original comments on #10.
ALL DESIGNS... The legal hurdles with "Wealth Management" in the company name look daunting so please stick to original "La Jolla Financial Planning" on any future submittals. I'm very sorry if I've caused you to waste any time with the "wealth management" comment. We'll use those words a lot on the web site but they will not be part of the company name. It seems I'm unable to delete earlier postings so I hope that anyone reading the October 10, 2011 1:25 AM post also sees this one.
#26 - The "J" in this font is too narrow and weak. It's strange how it's about half the width of the "A." #23 and #24 do a good job of representing this design so don't worry about this particular one being eliminated.
#25 - The "J" in this application (with the top bar going to the left but not to the right) looks strange to me personally, but I think I'll leave it in for comparison with #23 and #24.
#23 & #24 are ready to roll to the "final shootout" comparison to other semi-finalists just 3 days from now. Because of trademark concerns the "Financial Planning" version would be used. Thanks, and sorry for the dicey name/trademark issue!
#19 - The "J" in this typeface doesn't work for me because of the weak swoop at the bottom. #18 and #20 represent this design well with more favorable fonts.
#18 - Excellent. This design is ready for the comparison/voting with other semi-finalists. Thanks very much. I'm keeping both this and the "Wealth Management" version in the running in case we can clear legal hurdles with wealth management trademark.
