We are a NAA (National Auctioneers association) , NGC (Numismatic Guaranty Corporation) and BBB members if you want to incorporate their logos into the design. I do not have them all available for you to download.
For social networking we only use Facebook, we will be adding google and twitter so just use those 3.
We do not need a national type search for finding auctions. No maps of the USA. Maybe just a small list that clicks through to another page.
We like a few of the current designs, most of you have the wrong concept or ideas. We can tweak them a bit.
#7, Cool look, I like it but unfortunately my nearest competitor has a site with the same theme. Yours is good and his sucks, none the less we cannot use the name theme.
#10 and 11 and good, We like the layout. We like the Top bar on 10 better than 11. Keep in mind we are not an Ebay type site. We very rarely host live auctions on the internet. I may like to have that feature built in the codeing to host them now and then but not on an everyday basis. Normally for that we use Liveauctioneers.com, Auctionzip.com, or proxybid.com.
#16-17 AND EVERYONE!!
The site needs to be focused around getting people in the brick and mortar store front or to attend an auction. Secondary is Getting them to read the blog, Check out the store and shop, sign up for the news letter, facebook.....the list goes on...
In the Store We buy, sell, and trade ANYTHING(jewelry, coins, diamonds, watches, art, antiques, historical items, electronics, anything) of value. So something needs to be in there about; Buy(takes you to the eCommerce links), Sell and trade would be setup to goto an email form.
Maybe a scroller on the front page with featured items, and some links on the nav bar. Other than that eCommerce shouldn't be a burden on the front page.
#18 We like the layout so far. Follow some of the other suggestions listed above and in other comments.
Please people do not withdraw your designs if you can help it. You never know which one we may like or call on later. Thank you.
Check out christies.com.
See the Christie's International Real Estate Scroller on the front page near the bottom. I'd like something along those lines maybe highlighting products for sale with a price. Maybe 5-10 products.
That would look better than 4-5 different items spread out in a line or checker board pattern.
#1, The floral designs around the top bar and through out the rest of the draft are just not what were looking for.
# 2 and 3 are very interesting, Not sure how to tell you to adjust it yet. We like what you've got going on so far.
# 4 is nice but to minimalist. And to many banners.
An email between another designer. Everyone should read it to keep me from retyping it over and over.
Dear Designer,
The menu and pictures are not set in stone yet. Ideas for the menu are; About us, Upcoming auctions, Learning center(blog), Sale Items, "Sell your Gold" , Consignments(not sure of them all yet). As far as pictures I'll upload some if I get time but feel free to use your own. We can change them later.
On the front page I'd like Links and pictures in a rotator with 4-6 pictures and stories, auctions, items for sale, newsletter sign up is good, Links to twitter and Facebook. Maybe a few items or links to the eCommerce side of things after all we have to fund his thing somehow.
Our logo is up-loadable in the brief.
Ideas for pictures, Nice antiques, Coins, paper money, Nice watches and jewelry(featured item), pottery, porcelain, art, Think Pawn stars, auction hunters.
I'll be honest tho, we are not 100% sure what we want yet so don't let all this lock you in. Use your own ideas that's what we are here for.
