Hi all, now that the contest is closed, I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who contributed ideas, some of you really came up with a lot of different looks, which was helpful in figuring out a look that would work. I wish I could spread the money around to all the top contributors, but i guess we'll have to pick just one winner. Best of luck to all!

One suggestion has been made to me to consider incorporating a rose as part of the logo. I'm not sure how difficult this is, but if someone wants to give it a try, that would be fantastic!

Thanks to everyone for their latest designs. Getting closer to what we want, but I've decided to extend the contest by 3 days to hopefully get all the way there! :D

I'll try to provide feedback individually asap, but overall, the consensus from friends & colleagues seems to be to go more towards the script & floral styles.

For inspiration, please check some of the ads on http://www.wedluxe.com ... the winning logo should feel like it belongs very comfortably on this page. :D

One last idea ... if "DB" is feeling a little difficult for the initials, I'm also open to just using my last initial ... so a stylized "B" for the symbol. If anyone wants to offer a couple of possibilities in that idea, it would be great.

Hi everyone, I also just noticed that when my logo categories were updated a few days ago, that resulted in an unintentional change/reset to the "style sliders" in the design brief. As this may have been causing some confusion -- for example, one slider is set to "basic" instead of "luxury" -- I am looking into the possibility of extending the contest for a couple of extra days.

Here is what the sliders *should* be set to:

    Feminine -X--- Masculine
    Simple --X-- Complex
    Bland --X-- Flamboyant
    Subtle -X--- Vivid
    Subdued -X--- Loud
    Basic ----X Luxury
    Expensive -X--- Affordable
    Playful --X-- Serious
    Modern -X--- Classic
    Raw ---X- Refined
    Exotic -X--- Commonplace
    Grungy ---X- Elegant
    Adventure -X--- Secure

Hi all, this contest is winding down fast! I have been busy with a couple of photo shoots, so apologies for any delay in the latest round of feedback.

I'm really appreciative of the creativity I'm seeing and I have been getting a lot of feedback from friends as to which designs they like the best. I'm getting a wide variation in opinion, so that tells me there isn't one obvious choice quite yet.

I will send individual feedback shortly, and overall the idea is to appeal to the mid to higher-end wedding photography market. Something that instills desirability, reflects quality & sophistication, with a modern touch.

Hi all ... I am the project holder, and for reference I wanted to share the current vision for the website entry page and business card. It's #27 above. I'm fairly happy with background & I'd like to continue to use the floral embellishments along the border.

In the absence of a knock-my-socks-off new look, my preference is to use whichever logo is selected on top of this background. Try to visualize how your logo design would look in this context. I'm also open to bringing in some of that floral look to the logo itself if it works?

Thanks again for everyone's hard work and submissions so far!

Thanks for your ideas Raven! The large camera in #5 catches the eye the most, but I like more that you're using the initials in #7 & #8. I'm not crazy over the font choices in those ones though. I'm not sure if there's a good way to work the initials into a stylized camera perhaps? Your efforts are much appreciated!

Attention Designers: I think I may have been too restrictive when setting up the project by only choosing 'Logo Type' as I didn't realize we could select multiple types.

So I'd also really like to what can be done with the initials "DBP" as part of the mark.

I'm also very open to Abstract Marks and Symbolic marks. Actually, anything except web2.0!

Thanks for getting the ball rolling raindesign, you have some really nice designs in your portfolio!

I think #3 works the best so far. I took a closer look at the colours I had been playing with on my own ... for the blue, how does #44b9f5 look to you? and for the grey #c0c0co?

I like what you did with the heart in the tagline, but I was actually thinking to leave the tagline out of the logo design for now.

Designers: Submitted designs should have one concept per submission even if there are variations in colors it should be submitted separately.
