Thanks again for the submissions! Designs #21, 22, 23 and 24 correctly used the colors we asked for. My apologies for any confusion about adding yellow - it was not to replace the blue, but was to be in addition to the blue.
If you haven't already done so, please submit a version of your design(s) with:
- blue
- yellow
- grey
We prefer the less traditional fonts in general, so if your design uses traditional font, we'd like to see a version with something slightly more modern, as well.
Our team has reviewed designs and concluded that we'd like to focus on using Blue, Grey, and Yellow in the design (yellow similar to that used in Design #1, but softer).
If you already submitted designs with green, that is fine as well.
Also, designs that use traditional font are encouraged to substitute more modern fonts as comparison options.
Thank you for the great designs submitted over the weekend! Here is feedback to help with edits and new designs:
• None of the designs (except #1) used all the colors we suggested. Please note we were interested in use of dark/navy blue, grey, “cash” green and soft yellow. We’d like to see some of the designs revised to include one or more of the additional colors.
• Design #2 is interesting because of the “turnkey” feeling of the design. We felt the font style was not as attractive as some of the others. Also the color appears to be closer to purple than blue, and makes no use of the other colors (green and/or yellow)
• Design #3 is very good – it is clean, bold, and still shows elements that are complimentary to the Waterman Resource Group (WRG) logo. Again, would like to see inclusion of one or more of the additional colors requested, as well as seeing this design in coordination with different backgrounds
• Design #4 doesn’t use the correct company initials (i.e. CBS versus CBSS) and also has a less up to date or modern look on the fonts/use of colors
• Designs #6, 7, and 8 are very clean, attractive, and seem to show good use of space. Action seems inherent in the design due to the shadowing. We’d be interested to see versions of this design that integrate our other colors as well
• Design #9 is nice and clean, however the design element (beyond the fonts) seems a little flat – is there a way to add more depth, color, etc.?
• Design #10 has a great feeling of interconnectivity and action, and also uses clean, current looking fonts. The team would like to see versions of this design that include our other suggested colors.
• Design #11 also has a great feel and look. We are split in our opinion about using a more traditional font – some of our team feels this would be comforting to our clients – others are not sure. We’d like to see versions of this design that use some of our additional colors and possibly also different fonts.
• Design #12 – we love this dark contrast background although we are not sure about the implications on printing costs, etc. Very good look and feel to the design – same comments on font style as for Design #11. Would like to see addition of some of our other colors into this design concept.
Thank you to Keysoft for submitting our first design draft! The idea of using interactive parts that are similar to the Waterman is good - we should note that the colors used in the design need to be adjusted as follows:
- do not use red please - we are sticking with blue, yellow, green and grey (with the usual whites and blacks)
- yellow is close to what we wanted - perhaps a bit softer or less gold
- blue should be similar to the blue in the Waterman logo - more of a deeper or mightnight/royal blue
- green should compliment the green in the Waterman logo - perhaps a lighter or darker shade of the same color
The font selected is complimentary to our existing logo - we would also be interested to see other complimentary fonts as well in future designs
Thank you again for this first design and we look forward to seeing the additional submissions!
MycroBurst permits you to submit unlimited designs with unlimited variations. However, if you show 2 or 3 different color versions of the same logo in one draft, please make sure that if that draft gets finalized, each color version is separated before final files are sent out.
