@shinedesign: I know that misterwho didn't want to say that my design was perfect, that was a sarcastic way to point out that he/she was so desperate to show her/his designs that he/she did that mistake.

@misterwho: I accept your apologize but I don't really believe you are saying this for real due to the fact that you wrote that comment on June 5 "the same day" that you wrote another comment in the ANIMATION BANNER ADS contest saying this to the project holder: "Please check my designs, I'm sure you will love it"

Breaking one more time the first rule of the Project Discussion Guidelines: -1. Please do not ask Project holder to look at your designs.-

I know you may be excited and by your behavior a relative new designer, asking PH to look at your designs or offering changes for free is not consider good at all and that will annoy not only me but any designer in the universe, if you want to success I hope you compete in a good will.

Thanks god the comments can't be erased, so.. I will keep and eye on you, and I hope you do it better from now on.

That said, I think your design is very solid and congrats for the win, but don't let "the excitement" drive you or you are going to get some enemies really fast.

I apologize for my behavior, I got a little excited because this is my first time to this amazing website. I have a strong desire to make a designs to clients. I got excited with the competitors too.

And it was never my intention to offend, and I would like to apologize unreservedly to all for causing any offense to other designers, and to all parts of the community who I might also have offended.

@udesign: I don't really think misterwho tried to say your design is perfect to project's requirements. it was mistake. However I like your idea.
@mistewho: we're not in kinder garden. You act like the you are in the one. You shouldn't brag around. It looked like this to me: "Teacher, teacher, look at my drawing, I'm the best, I have everything: sun and tree and house."
If you have some message you should send private message. I believe PH knows what he likes the best, and what design suits his need the best. So... we wait for PH to decide. However I like your designs too.
You should respect other designers as well.

    Peace

I believe my designs got a user friendly functions, to avoid lingering around and to focus on the main tools of the website

  • 5 juin 2011 02:51 misterwho

As I've evaluated the client's requirements I simply gave their needs, In addition to this I've also highlighted the social sharing widget for the the client's business strategy. To invite the web surfers to share the calculator tools on their website and also to provide heavy traffic flow.

If theirs any additional design contents/widgets. I will charge it for FREE.

So far, we definitely like the main menu on the top for sections and the sub-pages (different calculators under that section) on the left like in #12 and #19.

In terms of colours, the vivid pinks, reds, blues and greens are good - like on #11, #21, etc.

Working on my draft, I'll submit ASAP.

    Best Regards,
    Dan

So far, our favourite is definitely #12 - anything along those lines (in terms of structure) are definitely good for us

Just one more thing - we aren't selling calculators - more an information site about the different types of calculators (under different categories) that are around and we will host widgets for those calculators on seperate pages surrounded by content regarding that calculator.

Something like the inside pages of netdoctor.co.uk, eg http://www.netdoctor.co.uk/diabetes/index.shtml is the kind of structure and vividness we were thinking?

Thanks for all the drafts - at the moment #6 and #7 are our favourites - if it's possible to get some brighter or more vivid colours, that'd be great, too

Both designs are good - but #3 seems to have no real brand identity for the logo (calculators.co.uk) and although #2 is good, it seems to be quite basic?

Sites such as Supermarket.co.uk, webmd.com, http://www.boots.com/en/Boots-Brands-A-to-Z/Bodyform/ (the 3 column structure) - good use of whitespace, professional - but not too much whitespace and make good use of the URL as the logo.

In #2, the different categories of the calculators ARE the sub-sections of the site, not 'services', 'about us', etc.

    Does that make sense?
