#31 Newidea - I wonder if you can expand on this design with 'Mount Warning' instead of the sun, (leaving the 'waves' of the ocean) with a river running down/across it and possibly some indication of early morning sun hitting the top of the mountain like a haze of yellow, or small sun rays or something?..
Thanks everyone, there are some great ideas. Some look too close to the Leisure Pools logo - so it just looks like we're copying it, (Although I still like the idea of using similar colours and font...)
Other pool builders have used the 'wave' look (Leisure Pools/Narellan Pools/Burleigh Pools), the sun (Leisure/Narellan/Burleigh/Aquaform Pools) and palm trees (Burleigh/Aquaform) so I'd like to avoid those...
I like the water/river looks, as we live in an area that is very green, with lots of water (& rain at the moment!), beaches, many rivers (obviously, hence the name!) and it is quite mountainous. We are near Mount Warning which as per Wikipedia "Mount Warning (also known as Wollumbin) is a mountain 14 kilometres (9 mi) west-south-west of Murwillumbah, near the border with Queensland in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales, Australia. It is the first place on mainland Australia to receive the sun's rays each day." I wonder about maybe incorporating river/mountain/beach/suns rays... in the design? But how? That's why I have you guys!
And yet I also like simple designs such as foxus 'drop'design.......Hmmmm.
I prefer the size of all words to be the same or similar - if any, the word 'pools' is probably most important as that's what we do..
Foxus - thanks for your input, just thinking about sizes of font. I realise that you were trying to get even spacing but 'Northern' isn't the most important word - if anything its 'pools'. How else can you word it to look fab and make the reader see immediately its a logo for a pool builder?
Thanks!
#14 - I like the style. Just thinking that one of the most important parts is the word 'Pools' so maybe either same size or darker font. I had been considering having the font the same as Leisure Pools font which is Microgamma - how would that look?
