    Your designs were very good and I appreciate your contributions. The color tones are not as deep as I prefer and I'm finding that the metallic look of the gold and silvers is very eye catching. As hard as it is, I need to narrow the choices from all of excellent designs submitted, including yours, to help with the final determinations.

    I apologize to the designers who have put so much time and effort into this project and have diligently responded to my questions and suggestions for the negativity that has resulted from one unhappy designer whose designs were eliminated early in the contest. I have yet to determine a design and have outstanding comments for several designers regarding some tweaks to their designs. Any one of the remaining designs would work quite well and I had never expected to have to select from so many talented designs.

    It is my nature to come to the defense of someone unfairly attacked. That includes any of the designers who have worked so hard on this project. Your efforts, professionalism, and talent are greatly appreciated.

    I am impressed by the quality of the designs that have been put forth in this contest and the dedication almost all of you have had in taking into consideration my requested changes and watching how the other designs have involved in an effort to tweak your own designs to help me find something that is exactly what I was looking for. I had hope to have at least one or two good designs to work with and have ended up with several that are outstanding.

    I have found it very frustrating to have worked with several designers towards a perfect design for a week only to have those efforts significantly thwarted after so much work. There has actually been more than two designers that used the Celtic Triangle, but only one that I found really fit what I was after. The others were eliminated. The problem arose when I rated one of these with 5 stars.

    Had I requested that the Celtic Triangle be used in my brief, just as I had mentioned the Ancient Asian Peace Symbol, “causkey” would have no grounds to complain any more than had someone used a triangle as I had also mentioned that in my brief. I would agree that had a designer created a unique design all of his own, this would be an issue. However, using a widely marketed image (search the internet for examples) available for more than a thousand years is no different that claiming originality for using a square, a circle, a triangle, a peace-symbol, a scale, two hands shaking, a gavel, etc. These are common images used all of the time and no one has proprietary or “concept” rights to them.

    Had two developers used a gavel for a law design, would the second have “copied” the first. Of course not. Gavels are often used in legal designs. The same with the use of scales.

    Moreover, the use of the Celtic Triangle was but a very small part of the overall design of those which were removed. The new designs were sharper, had more dimension, included shading, included all of the relevant text, and were unique in every aspect except for the minimal use of the Celtic Triangle.

    Thanks again for those of you who have worked and are working so hard. Your designs are a reflection of your expertise and diligence.

    Unfortunately several designs have been removed from the contest because Causkey complained that others were copying "his" design. In fact, Causkey's design was nothing more than the Celtic triangle used for more than a thousand years. Hopefully this will not be a continuing problem where designers believe they have co-opted a design which was never theirs to begin with.

    It's hard to reduce many of the great designs. There are so many that are really sharp looking and show a lot of talent, but just aren't quite the image I'm looking for. I can't thank you enough for all of the effort everyone is putting into this project.

    The designs have all been outstanding and it's getting hard to narrow down the one that really fits what I am after best. The 3-D look on the triangles have really caught my attention. I really like the multiple 3-D triangles in drafts #26 and 29. I also really like the gold shading giving the appearance of light striking it in drafts #64 and 65. Draft #50 is also very unique and eye-catching, while still being conservative and subtle.

    I do prefer the full text "Mediation Services," although this is harder to fit. It does look good to have it included with the icon rather than separate text under the "Attorney at Law."

    Draft #59 is really good as well, but jumps out more than I would like. It catches attention, but loses subtlety due to the brighter colors.

    I am still intrigued with the unique design in draft # 17 and would like to see it with the graphic on the left, white background, and possibly the "Mediation Services" underneath the graphic.

    Draft #45 also has a unique graphic that includes both ideas of the Asian peace symbol and the triangle. It would be good if it referred to mediation services.

    I hope these comments help. Thank you again for all of the efforts you have put into creating these great logos!

    I appreciate the work each of you have put it. There are some great designs here.

    A couple of things I've notice that I like include:
    1. I like the darker red or burgundy more than the bright reds or pinkish reds (#17). Something around Hex Color 660000.
    2. The gold used for the icon in draft #17 is sharp. I like the gold in draft #'s 4&5, but am concerned they are just a bit yellow and won't show up as well, but they are close.
    3. The icons used are great and it's going to be hard to pick.
    4. The more traditional typeface used for the name in draft #'s 4-5, and 9-18 works best for the image I'm hoping to portray.
    5. The horizontal layouts will probably work best for letterhead and stationary.
