Business Logo for Gary B. Wells, Attorney at Law

Gary B. Wells, Attorney at Law, Mediation Services

  Yes

This logo is for a family law mediator. I work with couples to help them resolve issues surrounding their divorce in a way to help them avoid the costs and frustrations of litigation. I would like to use the logo on business cards, stationery, envelopes, website, etc. Clients should be looking to resolve conflicts, not pursue hard-hitting litigation. (I am excluding “family law” from the design text in case I wish to expand beyond family law mediation in the future.)

I prefer the traditional, dark, classic colors. At this time I am leaning towards the traditional conservative colors of gold/brass and burgundy. Other options might include darker blues, hunter greens, and black. I’m not looking for pastels, yellows, or pinks.

I would like a traditional look, but at the same time something unique. I am open to either initials or a design at this time. Because I am looking at conflict resolution as an alternative to litigation, I want to avoid the standard legal icons of gavels, scales, pillars (which are associated with courthouses), etc. I also want to avoid “peace” symbols such as doves, olive branches, etc.

I am very open at this time. I have been toying with the idea of a triangle (mediation involves three parties) or the ancient Asian peace symbol (three circles in a triangle surrounded by a circle, but this looks quite modern, even though it is “ancient”). I don’t want the triangle or Asian peace symbol to limit creativity as I’m not sold on either of these possibilities.
