  Imagine that you're buying a college sweatshirt from a retail store in the mall. You grab the shirt and you look at the hang tag that is attached to it. Imagine that hang tag has a logo/icon or brand that you designed. What do you want that hang tag to look like? Help your design submission by showing the versatility of the logo in a hang tag or a shirt box.

  To help your design submission, if you can, please include mockup of stationery, marketing collateral or web banner that might help illustrate the strength of the logo and its use in other media. I'd like the logo design to translate well to print and internet media. Thanks.

  A design improvement may be the removal of the gear teeth from the logo. Gear is used in the sense that we are providing equipment, clothing, celebratory banners and flags. We're looking to convey a sense of loyalty to schools, sports, academics, professional teams etc.

  I'm leaning toward something symbolic/iconic, not entirely textual. Perhaps a 3D logo.
