Today's the final day, and I'm planning to make a decision at the end of the contest. I'm really happy with the work everyone has done -- thanks!

#37 and #38 are the frontrunners right now, and I dig the star on #27. I've asked raindesign to give me another option with the star leaping out of the words and a different font. I will likely ask to remove the tagline, as I'm still tweaking my positioning, but I think these all work fine without it.

Bojan, Aeman and Alpha -- thanks for your new ideas! I liked things about each one, but I've eliminated them for these reasons:

Bojan and Aeman -- I'm probably overly concerned about looking like a telecomm or power company, and I feel your designs head that direction. Aeman, I do like the idea you brought on the B, though, but I just like some of the other designs better.

Alpha -- I'm considering losing the tagline, and I think without that line, a logo of just the name in that font is lackluster.

Everyone, thanks so much for your work! You've come up with some great ideas, and I've spent time today narrowing them down so that you have precise direction for heading for the finish line.

    COLOR --
    1. OVERALL COLOR -- After seeing the range of options, I have two camps of colors that I feel represent my vision: (1) red/blue -- more muddy than primary as in #2. (2) Warmer tones of green, blue, red, gray -- like in #4.
    2. USE OF COLOR -- Making "comm" a different color (as in #27) is an interesting idea. (I think having the red in the B in that particular design is too much, though.)

FONT -- I prefer harder edges and clean lines, as Sergem has been using.

    CONCEPT --
    1. THE P/B -- I don't think it's working very well in terms of a dual "power/bower" meaning. The only place I like the dual tone in the B is with the arrow in the B as in #16 and #17.

    2. ICONS ABOVE THE NAME -- I'm torn here. If there's an icon above the name, though, it has to have meaning. It can't just be a stylized "B".
**I continue to like having a small design element within the name itself -- like #17, #2 or #4.
**I like where Raindesign is going in #27 with the star, though I think the box is too literal. Perhaps there's a way to integrate the box idea into the words so that the star is jumping out of the name?
**I also like the subtle idea of connecting the dots in #16, and I can see that playing out as a design element in my other materials. Paired with the B with an arrow in it, I think it works. The sophistication of this design is where I want to head.

Thanks again. I think we're getting close.

Mochou, I think #14 is a very interesting option. I like the icon. The B and C in the word feel a little too emphasized -- is there a way to make it feel more refined? Perhaps also another combination of colors?

Lakshmiks, thanks for submitting! I think you're on to an idea in #9 and #10, but it's still a little obscure for me. I do really like the red/gray color combo. On #11 and #12, I'm a little worried about "BowerComm" sounding like a technology company, and I think that particular font goes that direction, so I've eliminated them.

Thanks for the idea, Mochou. I like the overall bold feeling, and I like how the B really can read as a P. I also think it's interesting to have the B and C called out in the name. My main concern is that having the P/B icon on top doesn't make the name read "PowerComm/BowerComm" like it does when it's actually in the name.

In fact, I'm starting to wonder whether the P/B thing was a good idea or not on my part. See my prior comment about bringing out the "planning" idea.

Thanks for the additional ideas! I think #2 and #4 are my favorites so far. I'm talking to one of my advisors tomorrow and will likely have more specific direction out of that meeting.

If new designers are submitting, try something that brings out the idea of how having a plan gets you ahead (still making it feel powerful).

Thanks for the submissions! I like where these are going a lot.

As another general point for inspiration, a friend of my suggested looking at the reiki power symbol, as it looks like both a B and a target. See http://kamaltolia.com/learn/images/chokurei_byhand.gif
