Totally Unfair Decision. I made many revisions, got stars, appreciation, but end of the day a person won who copied my design, made circles with exactly same colors, he just made some change in circles, overall copied 99% of my concept. Shameless
We like #43 and #47, but perhaps now too much colour, the deeper blue from earlier drafts like #20 my look better #48 is leading the popularity polls at the moment, not over keen on the font for the word 'theatre' tho ...
We are liking #29, however there is some concern that the lettering, which looks great in larger sizes, becomes rather indistinct when the size is reduced.
We like #31 too, the idea of the curtains is nice but we dont feel they're quite the right shape at the moment..
The drafts from corslu (eg #27) are nice too but are a bit too reminiscent of the old serif logo program, maybe get rid of the green serrated ring..?
key words to bear in mind are theatrical and fun; the logo needs to produce a sense of drama and action.. it doesnt have to be symmetrical and badge-like, but of course it can be.
Hope this helps!
We like #20, its certainly got a theatre feel about it, perhaps the lights in the lettering should include the horizontal parts too?
Still room to find some fun too...
The more recent designs are getting much closer to the mark!
Perhaps bear in mind that we are working with a uk theatre here, not a US one..
Still hoping for a sense of the theatrical perhaps incorporating some sort of image/symbol within the logo?
Weve had a message, "I hate the projects that are non guaranteed"
I understand this, however I am not going to guarantee the contest because we dont want to be forced to choose a design that isnt up to the job.
We have run several competitions on here before, feel free to check out our history, none of them were gauranteed, but on every occasion we have chosen a winner.
We are not here to fool around, we want a logo and providing we get an entry our client likes we will award the prize.
Nothing would be more frustrating for us that not to choose a winner so please feel confident to enter, we are here to do business!
Unfortunately these first drafts (#1 - #3) are missing the sweet spot.. what we would like to see is:
1)the 21 secondary to the theatre name
2)perhaps a circular design without an overall background colour
3)It needs a little more than just text - without becoming fussy or cluttered
4)It need a sense of the theatrical about it
Here are some examples we like, to give an idea of where we are heading, but we are not looking for copies of these..

#49, we like the design but would like to see '21 years' instead of just '21'
we would be interested to see #43 using only 3 colours. We like this design but without the word 'The' and without the lighting bars??
Many thanks!

we love the element of fun in #34 but its missing the theatrical element and we really need to get away from Serif Logoplus templates...
