Hi all. Again, thanks for the additional design ideas! Here is a summary of what we like:

Drafts #79 and #80: we like both, but especially #79. These have nice-looking symbols that incorporate "DK" (which we often use instead of the full name) and that can be used separately from the word mark. As such, the symbol can be used as a favicon. The symbols make the designs very unique and memorable. On #79, can you do the following: 1) make the word mark slightly larger in relation to the "DK" symbol, 2) make the gray a bit more brownish in tone, and 3) try creating a font style that is slightly more unique? I am guessing the font is Century Gothic. This does happen to be my favorite font, but if we want to use the word mark on its own, I'd like it to be different enough looking on its own.

Drafts #62 and #66: we like these for the same reasons as above. Here, though, we'd like to see the darker pink and brown (or a brownish-gray) used. We also prefer that the word mark not be all capitalized and that a different font style is explored. Also, perhaps there is a way to better integrate the "DK" into the design element? Lastly, the design/symbol element looks a bit "tilted." Can this be made to look more balanced?

Drafts #70-73: thanks for making the updates. The designs have gotten a little too busy, and while more food-oriented, may seem a little restaurant-like. The lotus flower, while nice-looking, may not quite fit with the brand. It might be interesting to look at a version with the word mark with lower case letter (with the first letter capitalized). This might soften the look a little. Also, we'd prefer not to use the utensils (too restaurant-like).

Draft #61: we really like the font style used as it is a nice balance of contemporary and fun/whimsical. Is there a way to add a symbol to make it more different / memorable?

Overall, it might be interesting to see some ideas using a bolder font as well.

    Thanks!

Hi all. Thanks for the additional designs and iterations! Just to look at something a little different, can someone please try incorporating a bit of a Web 2.0 logo design feel/look?

Also, we'd like/need a logo that really stands out, looks different...in other words, is recognizable and memorable. Draft #52 probably does this best. It pops out as something really different. However, we would like something that is a little more foodie-like and perhaps a bit simpler.

    Thanks!

Thanks for all your design work! There are a number of additional drafts, so rather than go one-by-one, we'll provide feedback on what we particularly like and what we do not like.

We do like the graphic element and the contemporary, clean font style of #50-52. However, the overall appearance does make us think of clothing/fashion rather than of food. Perhaps some work can be done to make it more foodie-like? There is also something we like about #39; it is different, friendly, natural, and fun. However, it does have a slightly more child-like feel to it. Perhaps there is a way to make it a little more adult-oriented? Drafts #40 and #43 are also both clean-looking and more contemporary. Are they truly unique fonts? On #43, we are less fond of look of the letters "a," "o," and "m." Also, the "ci" almost look like a backwards D. Could #40 be made to look more unique?

Most of the other drafts had font styles that we felt didn't quite fit with our desire for a contemporary design...or had design elements that didn't add significant value / meaning. Please keep the brand character and positioning in mind when designing (e.g. fun, engaging, contemporary, clean, inspiring, approachable, knowledgeable, delicious).

    Thanks!

Here are comments on the briefs so far:

OVERALL: would like to see more options using a dark pinkish color - close to RGB 235|55|85. Brown should be a dark ashen brown.

DRAFT #1: comes across as fun, but: 1) the word "delicious" gets lost - needs to be more prominent, 2) the fonts are not unique; in fact the font used for "Karma" is the same as what is used for a competitive site - the fonts should be truly unique.

DRAFT #2: use of gradation is interesting; but: 1) green gets a little dark at the bottom, so will not pop very well, 2) swoosh underneath does not have/add significance, and 3) would like logo to have a more contemporary look/feel.

DRAFT #3: orange color pops nicely and font has a nice balance of contemporary and old world feel; however, font feels a little tight/squished and "e" might need a little work as it feels a little "pulled apart."

DRAFT #4: not so crazy about the purple; also, "Karma" is a little hard to read.

DRAFT #5-7: font style is not very unique, especially for drafts #6-7.

DRAFT #8: connecting the "c" and the "s," while creative, makes it look a bit like a face; otherwise, font is not very unique.

DRAFT #9: use of 2 different font styles is interesting, but it reads like "karna" rather than karma.

DRAFT #10: font style is not unique; use of the tag image is also not in keeping with brand as it communicates "deal" rather than "delicious discovery" of artisan foods.

DRAFT #11: the use of the yin-yang symbol is interesting, but this symbol comes from Taoism (Chinese), not Buddism/Hinduism (ancient Indian) - the latter of which is where the word "Karma" originates; also, the symbol makes the logo a little complicated/busy.

DRAFT #12: while the font used for the word mark itself is not unique (ultimately it will need to be), the symbol created on top is interesting (especially as we will want a favicon created as well); it does need a little more work as the style of the font used in the symbol seems different than the rest of the logo.

DRAFT #13: we like the stacked look of words, but 1) the font does not look to be unique, 2) the font used for "Karma" is a little old fashioned looking, and 3) the "o" looks like a cookie with a bite out of it (a little too "cute" for this brand; we'd like something a little more contemporary and elegant).
