@shandor887 you may feel that #44 is a winner because of its good looking but other than that no meaning with the name you can pick and go with that but I can assure you they are so many concepts like that try to review some early entries submitted.
@ Nikola so true its a eco/organisation/ fourleaves/oil ointment something like that with no deeper meaning.
Whats with yokine how about the tagline of the name are we gonna take it away from that.

Hi everyone, #44 is looking to be the winner at this stage, we like the subtle abstract reference to the cross, and the colour scheme and 'growth' represented through the leaves suit our brief very well.
Is there any chance of seeing a a similar image made of three main objects (perhaps leaves without stems).
Perhaps they could still make reference to a cross, or maybe they will look good in some other arrangement.
(this is to make subtle reference to the Trinity, and to our "share care dare" tagline as mentioned in the brief).

Thanks for all the submissions - please don't get caught up in this leaf idea though, its interesting but not definitely what we are after.

#61 is interesting, but can you please change the colours to something a little darker, similar to the scheme in #47

Nikola, youre designs are interesting. I had a look at #48 and #49 and was wondering if you could make them somehow a little more 'intertwined', sort of making an abstract reference to the 'community' idea...you with me?
We will keep #50 in mind for when we open an ice-cream store :p

Youre right Nikola, #44 does look a little like an "eco" logo image, but there is a reason behind the design with it's abstract and not obvious reference to a cross, which is what we like about it.
The designs with 5 stars are definitely very close to what we are after, but variations on the image (not text) are still something we would like to have a look at in the last 2 days of this project.
Thanks for your work so far!

#39 is interesting, but a needs to be fleshed out a little. The 'community' feel could work, but needs to be a little more artistic/abstract.
Thanks niklasiliffedesign!

Hi Nikola - sorry for the confusion.
What I was trying to say is that we loved the style of #25 the best, but were hoping to see it with a different image (perhaps not a cross).
We very much like your colourful "streaks" from #22 and #24, but we want it next to the text, and want a text font and style similar to #44 (san-serif, more casual. Could you develop this idea a little further?

To all designers:
Please don't get caught in this "cross" image idea

Hi Nikola, thanks for your submissions.
Could you please keep a very subtle or even no gradient on the text? Similar to #25.
Not liking the crosses so much - please see my previous comment about less traditional images.
But thankyou so much for your many submissions today, and please keep at it!

Hi everyone - #25 is definitely the front runner at this stage, thanks sumit128!
Could you perhaps right justify "Baptist Church" in line underneath "Yokine"? Besides that, We are happy to lock in this text style and colour scheme.
Could you please play with the image a some more? Perhaps something less traditional, more artistic and unique.
We are actually quite fond of the image from #22 and #24.
The image doesn't necessarily have to be a Y, just needs to somehow be reflective of community/welcoming/multicultural. Have fun and keep up the great work!

just a reminder everyone - please don't include the tagline in the designs.

Thanks for your great submissions, superDUPERJAMES. Im not as fond of #13 as I am of #14 - but I am definitely into the more artistic concepts.
Is there any chance you could show me something a bit more 'vibrant', as per the brief?
Also, I still think we are after text accompanied by an image, similar to that in #1.
Im really liking the text layout:
San-serif font, with 'Yokine' larger and 'Baptist Church' right justified underneath.

Thanks for your input, niklasiliffedesign.
I am liking the layout of your text in #12, (Large first line text, smaller "Baptist Church" text underneath), and the gradient could potentially win me over.
Not into the YBC logo image though.

Monart, thanks for your designs. #8, #9, #10, #11 - im not getting excited about the general concept of the image in these logos.
Also, your use of font (caps, and serif) give a formal feeling to the logo, simliar to #4 and #5 - We are after something a bit more welcoming
