Be as creative as you like. The pics on the website are there as a guide to ensure designers know a little about the subject.
We were getting designs with:
* the wrong tools
* wheels from the 1950s
* huge tyres that were outdated
So we wanted to show the correct tools and styles for 2011. The Porsche wheel design was funny I thought because it was the exact shape of a wheel socket.
However, the logo does not even have to use any of it.
If you have a concept, go for it! We will give you feedback within 1 - 2 hours.
@Project Holder,
The specific Porche wheel-like and the tools, to be incorporated in the design as you mentioned here and in your site; is it already written in stone, or are you still open for another idea/concept?
Or maybe a little exact, correct me if I'm wrong, are you looking for just a 'visualizer' (for the given concept) or a 'designer'? This is just so we will know what's right to be work on for the next 3 days.
The concept of the designs is fantastic, BUT, they are not the right tool. The wrench is not used for wheel fitting.
Please visit:

Look at photo's 2 and 4. They are the right tools. No. 1 is not.
Then, look at the last Porsche wheel.
Well done Pepin, we're really getting somewhere now. Very cool how you have managed to get the circular theme in there with the wrenches and wheels intact. I like the shading and colour. As per the last comment, we're asking for all lowercase now.
Thanks very much, we're impressed.
Hi Team, we're really starting to be impressed by some of the designs. Thank you and well done. We want to see more.
A DESIGN NOTE - please submit your designs using LOWERCASE only. We feel it looks the best. Also, please ensure 'wheels' is different from 'fit' in some way.
angelice - welcome!
Thank you for your beautiful designs! AND - you looked at our brief and links. THANK YOU!
So, as much as we like the colour and fresh feel of your design, we feel that they probably don't quit fit the brand we're going for. Tyres are black. Wheels are silver. Grease and oil are black. Sweat is clear. Blood is red. There's not much colour in the world of wheels I'm afraid. It's a bit masculine... OK - boring. I've said it. Please keep going though as we love your work.
Designers, I appreciate your efforts, I really do. I also appreciate that for some, English may be your second language. That's fine. Great design does not speak. I must say again, however. Please read our brief. Use babelfish or translate it please...! We used this site because we want the best. I work in design every day so could do a logo myself, but I want something from a professional designer. Thank you.
Hi there designers. Many thanks to those who are working with us right now. I am pleased with your ideas and concepts. I would like you to visit logolounge.com and view the trends from 2008 - 2010.
Read our brief and write down the types of logo (cubist, hexahedron, etc) we said we wanted to see. I'm not sure if you have done this as yet, but it will help you if you want to win this project. Please keep submitting your ideas, I know the perfect logo is out there. Cheers!
Thankyou for your efforts so far. I am away from the office today and will comment on individual designs tomorrow.
Please ensure you read and understand the brief to save yourselves time and effort.
I look forward to seeing more exciting designs soon.
Designers please note - use whatever colours you want. Our current logo and website are just mock-ups and not our brand. That's for you to create! Thankyou, The WheelsFit Team.

The answer is no, nothing is set in stone.

Please note:
1. We have extended the contest for 3 days
2. Please visit wheelsfit.com homepage and
read the NEW '4 questions'
3. We are grateful for all your work and
effort. So far, we like Pepin and
Sub30s work. However, we still would
like to see others
4. We require: a) a logo b) unique text and
c) an icon (same as logo) for the
appstore.
Thank you and good luck,

We've seen some great stuff.
This logo must:
1. Be used as an Apple iStore icon
2. Be used on racing cars
MUST BE EYECATCHING!
