Premium Genie works as an intermediary between clients who are looking into products such as life insurance and the IFA and Brokerage community who can assist them. We have teamed up with some of the countries largest survey companies and respond directly to customers who have suggested they may be interested in learning more. General knowledge about life insurance and how it operates is limited within what the industry terms “the insurance gap” and our aim is to ensure our customers understand the products they are interested in and they feel the products are suitable for them. Whilst we do not provide or offer advice at any time, we spend time talking with customers about their need for cover. We find a lot of our customers have made the decision that they need to have cover in place but have yet to think about how much cover they require and over what time period. This can cause difficulties when calling into brokerages directly or indeed when using comparison sites, where you are asked direct questions and are not always equipped with the answers. This can then be a frustrating process for all involved. We have essentially two sets of customers, the customers who respond to surveys and whom we then call and assist and also the IFA/Brokerages with whom we place our leads. We will only transfer a client to a brokerage when they have a good understanding of what they are looking for, often we can outline the areas to think about and arrange to call the client back. This works for everyone concerned as the buyer knows what they are looking for and understands what the product does and doesn’t do and also ensures that the commercial side of our business, which is lead provision maintains its reputation. We have long term relationships with our clients and companies have chosen us as their sole partner for Life insurance transfers. We work continually on our approach and service so that brokerages receive those customers whom they feel they can benefit; taking daily feedback on every lead we supply to ensure standards are high. Each brokerage has its own set of criteria and parameters for customers, for example IFA companies who like to advise clients need the customers to have enough time to spare to complete a fact find and have their needs assessed. Brokerages offer a quick and comprehensive service often finding customers much more competitive products than they would otherwise have access to. |
