We eliminated designs just so we can focus on the current ones.
General – A clean uncluttered look is preferred. Some accent colouring is good, but lots of different bold colours and drop shadows, etc makes it look a bit to busy and confusing and maybe makes it feel like we are trying to be too clever. The site doesn’t need to be “3 equal columns”. So the image can be bigger than just twice the width of the buttons.
Top header area – this should just have the “red stripe” (as per current TVD website), TVD logo and swap out images of water/elec etc as per current site. It is quite a bright red.
Menu bar – We prefer a menu bar, we don’t like a “tabbed” style. The menu bar items will have a drop down menu on mouse over like in our current site, please show what that would look like. The Support button, and Google language selection combo should be in the menu bar. Home button (far left in menu bar) should be a “house/home” icon, not a word.
RH buttons - The buttons on the Right hand side will not point to the picture on the left so they simply need to be buttons, with a mouse over highlight.
We think the “Contact Us” column/block is best if it is lined up with the RH button width/column, and then equally size the other two blocks (News and Latest release) under the “5-image” lightbox.

We are extending by 3 days to give us and you more time to refine home page design and also look at what the other 2 inside page templates and accordion menu etc would look like. Feel free to start giving us ideas for those.
Some general comments;
The site will be fixed width.
We think a light colour, white? is a better column colour for the outside “stretchy” areas.
We are pretty sure we’ll go with 3 boxes (see my earlier comments).
We will add a “translate” button http://translate.google.com/translate_tools (inline-dropdown only) on the main page.
Specific comments:
Smartinfo: #23 - Try with the 3 columns. The news section is far too busy. Move the “5 image block” up so there is less gap. What would top and side menu/buttons look like mouse over/click? We like the support button in the main menu and the use of the water/elec/gas image in the top logo area. We eliminated #32 but liked that you had included the SEO footer links block as per my comments. I sort of like #20, but the “5 image block” will be on a slider (wowslider), and I don’t think the transparent buttons will work.
Pentacreative: we eliminated 2 of yours just because they were similar it was easier to focus comments on one, #36. Ewe like the clean look and that you had showed what the mouse over/click on top menu and RH side buttons would look like. The banner colour “burnt red” doesn’t look right. Move the support button into the menu bar? And put the contact details from the brief doc in that area? Show option using the top RH water/elec/gas images from the current site? We don’t like the pointy blue button, maybe a little whit space between them so they look more “buttony”?
LSArt: we left the latest one of yours, #37 simply because it was easier to comment on one rather than many. Remove the phone # from the top bar, depending on where the visitor is f4rom they can call a local country # as per Contact Us area. The “5 image block” will be on a slider (wowslider), and I don’t think the curved buttons will work? Also at this stage I think we’ll leave off the images e.g. tick or magnifying lass, but maybe a fade out part of the TVD logo highlighted on mouse over? Would be interested in some other concepts along your lines.
Creative media: #25 the font isn’t clean and easy to read. Most readers will be age 30-50’s.
Mincedfruits: This is also nice and clean, #19, but probably needs to be more cohesive, the blocks look to separate?. Maybe also make the mouse over of the menus red? The email link at the top should go as its already in the contact us section.
Tebuck: We stiil quite like how clean #18 is but it’s a little bland, maybe revise taking into consideration some of the other comments?
Igorvess: #5, Can you update your design taking into consideration comments made? Also the red line under the blue menu flares so should be removed.
Rockit: #3 we still quite like how “clean” this is, the RH buttons are fairly obvious that they are buttons, etc. Can you update your design taking into consideration comments made?
