Congratulations! Insignia001 , Project holder has selected your design #258 as Winner. Thanks to all the designers for their creativity and hard work. Thanks
Thank you all for your hard work and creativity. It was a difficult decision but we are excited to have chosen Draft #258 has the winner. Great job Insignia001!
ACEdesign Rotation of the shapes is just popular method of constructing logos. In your sample are not cut corners, not pointed one "V", no gradients of metal.
Let's stay away from using the VBS as part of the logo. We have decided to stay with a logo concept including the full company name. Right now we are in favor of the logo to the left of the company name. The company name should be presented all caps with "Vertical" above and "Building Systems" directly below. "Building Systems" should be the same width as "Vertical". "Building Systems" should be smaller in size like some of the more recent drafts (i.e. #95 and #70)
Someone should try designing a logo around the company initials (i.e. "VBS") Look at some of the logos in mycroburst.com's portfolio like the TMV logo design. Let's get creative with that idea.
I want to avoid putting to many parameters on you as you consider your design concepts, because I do not want to prohibit your creativity. Let me tell you what we do. We are a constractor specializing in the framing of steel stud walls, floor joists, roof trusses and metal roof deck. However none of these specific construction disciplines need be conceptualized in the logo design. Please do not show the concept of a building in your design. We do not want to go there.
We are liking the font style in drafts #9 thru #14. That doesn't mean if someone has a fantastic design concept they want to present we are wide open right now.
We like the color green in draft #17. Let's combo that color with a earthtone brown and see what you guys come up with. Do not like the "V" designs in the logo drafts presented so far. Try introducing some swirl or curves in the "V" concept within the logo. Draft #17 introduces a sphere or circle; expand on that a little bit considering my above comments. Thanks.
We like the use of shadowing in the logo. We like how the green color fades in draft #17. We like how light is introduced in the logo to make it look like it is shining. Not sure if this accurately describes it, but I think you all get the idea. We do not like thick blocking font styles. Let's stay away from those. We like the logo to the left of the company name, but we want to reserve the option to see it above as well. We could use it in various print media positioned both ways. Let's see what else you can come up with. Nothing is jumping out at us yet.
All drafts submitted so far are to modern or contemporary for what we are looking for. Go more traditional. This is a construction company in the southeast US. Think of the name of the company "Vertical Building Systems" almost as a secondary part of the logo design.
Look at www.greenebuilding.com as a good sample. The concept for unisonmicro on mycroburst's portfolio is something we like. Nothing is jumping out at us yet. Thanks for the drafts, keep trying. Keep in mind once the logo is finalized we will be having the stationary package contest.
Please look at the websites I included in the project brief for help. I would like to see an abstract logo possibly utilizing the letter "V" in it with the company name under it or maybe beside it. It is not a requirement for the "V" to be a part of the logo. I do think "Vertical" should be larger and "Building Systems" smaller and less bolder. Let's see what else you've got! Thanks and keep it up.
