| This logo is for a new church. Our name "Veritas" is the Latin word "truth." Our theme verse and inspiration for our name is 1 Timothy 3:15 in which the church is described as, "the church of the Living God, the pillar and ground of truth." Our church is traditional and not contemporary in our worship, but I do not want to focus on being old fashioned, or even "traditional." I prefer to think of us a classical. We are not looking to duplicate the church of the 1950's, but the church of the AD 50's. We focus on sacred (not casual) worship; a strong sense of community and fellowship in the church, building and supporting solid families, and an unwavering commitment to deep study of the truth of God's Word. We are trying to create real church for real people; church done God's way by people who want to live God's way rather than simply playing games. It's about a way of life, not about a show. | ||

| My past (novice) designs have incorporated a "column" to give a classical feel and to represent the "pillar" of truth represented in the verse. But I am not committed to that. I would love a concept that portrays a classical Christianity feel, but not old-fashioned. I am not necessarily interested in old Christian symbols. Classic, sophisticated, but not old. | ||
