As mentioned in my brief, the product's name: "Total Eclipse" is meant to emphasize my product's ability to block light, much in the same way the moon completely blocks out the sun during a total eclipse.
When I think of an eclipse, I "FEEL" mystery, science, the moon (barren dusty grey desert), the sun (giant pool of burning gases), space (planets, stars, etc), space (vast distances between objects AND enormous disparities in sizes of two or more objects), aliens, black (the color of everything in the absence of light), white (the color of light).
I would like my logo to invoke some of these same FEELINGS or EMOTIONAL RESPONSES.
The use of a futuristic font is an easy way to do this.
However, I do not want to go too far in this direction and alienate (pun intended) a large client base.
So, a hint of futuristic font is encouraged.
Pretty cool design overall.
I like the font you chose, especially the instances of the letter "A". I'm not sure if it is a common font or if you created it yourself, but it it cool.
I also like the use of green as the third color. I honestly didn't expect it, but it looks good. It gives the logo a little bit of extraterrestrial creepiness to it.
I think I am going to have to use the logo on a solid white background, in which case I don't think the gradient around the letter "O" will pop at all. I'm not sure if the colors in that part could/should be reversed.

As mentioned in my brief, I would much prefer for the logo to incorporate a FULL (total) eclipse, just as the brand name suggests.
I have uploaded an image that contains several examples of TOTAL eclipses. See uploads sections.
Great job so far and thank you so much for your time,
Jason

Overall, nice job. I'd like to see more.
