We are a private golf and curling club (dundasvalleygolf.com) established in 1929 which has an existing club crest and are looking for a logo that is more easily used on clothing (shirts and hats) and a more recognizable symbol for branding purposes in our local golf community. The 2 unique aspects of our club is that our grounds was originally an apple orchard and we are located at the base of the Niagara Escarpment http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Niagara_Escarpment which means we have a unique topography that is quite hilly and picturesque. We are looking for a logo that doesn't showcase golf or curling (which our crest does) but simply shows we are Dundas Valley or DVG&CC. Once concept we were looking at was an apply tree situated on a rocky crest. A very similar and popular club logo to this would be Pebble Beach's logo which can be viewed at their website: www.pebblebeach.com Examples of other popular club logos would include: Glen Abbey's swinging monk http://en.clublink.ca/golf/glenabbey/?SECT=GLENABBEY&GOLF_COURSE_ID=0220 The Dragon of St. Georges': http://www.stgeorges.org The winged O of the Olympic Club: http://www.olyclub.com The winged golf ball of Baltusrol http://www.baltusrol.org/club/scripts/home/home.asp |

I would think not more than 3 colours so that it can be easily transferred to golf shirts and hats. | ||

I would like to ensure we incorporate 1929 in some way or form. DVG&CC could be used as well however, not a requirement. Please see Pebble Beach's logo at: www.pebblebeach.com What we like about this is that it doesn't convey golf or anything, it just conveys Pebble Beach. Please check out our website and photos of our property at www.dundasvalleygolf.com Here are other popular club logos: Glen Abbey's swinging monk http://en.clublink.ca/golf/glenabbey/?SECT=GLENABBEY&GOLF_COURSE_ID=0220 The Dragon of St. Georges': http://www.stgeorges.org The winged O of the Olympic Club: http://www.olyclub.com The winged golf ball of Baltusrol http://www.baltusrol.org/club/scripts/home/home.asp |
