I thought that all of the logos were really good. I had a hard time choosing between ScottPerry, Lovag, Dyantuddao and GayungBersambut. I ended up going w/ ScottPerry's designs for the following reasons: It offers a crisp fresh clarity. It is classy/classic and I believe that this logo will not date as quickly as some of the others. I appreciate everyones effort toward the contest. I will be posting a WebDesign contest fairly soon for those who are interested.
All Designers: So I have figured out what I like (some of.) I like the Iconic natures of #49 and #35. I also like the clean cut look of the solid text / font in #35. The fact that there are Theatre Masks in #49 and #31 make it so people will know right away that this website will be about theatre. I like number #13 because it is very, very modern and the fact that the lights coming down on a stage represent Theatre as well.
So please take these notes into consideration for any future revision/submissions made. Thanks and good luck!
So far I like #13 and #21 the most. What I like about #21 is that you have theatre masks in the logo and that hints at what the web site will be about. I would like you to experiment w/ new types of fonts. #13 I like the simplicity of the lights coming down on a stage. #13 please separate the words and experiment w/ new fonts as well. Notably want to also mention that I also like #19 and #17. #19 due to having a stage in the logo, and #17 for its simplicity.
Attn All Designers: Make sure that the words "Theatre Play List" are separated in your submissions (play and list are two separate words, not the single work playlist.) The title is a pun on the words Theatre and Play, not to be confused w/ the word "playlist" which you create on an iPod.
@Arius (#9): I really like the font you choose! (I am not sure how I feel about the lasso thing that goes into a star though.) Keep going in that direction....
@All Designers: Hey Guys, let's try and get away from using a "Playlist Triangle." If you want to add some symbols to it you can try and incorporate Theatre Faces/Masks into the logo. Thanks.
@WITTER: I really like the idea with the spotlight, but the logo overall is a little too cartoony. See if you could change the font and tone it down a bit.

for 27: I like the guy, but it took me looking at it for 20 seconds to figure out what it was. I do NOT like the Hunter S. Thompson fonts.
