#13- create a new draft with a smaller puzzle piece similar to that in #65. Will it look right if it's smaller? A lot smaller...easily seen, but not too much puzzle. It's my last attempt to squeeze the puzzle concept in. lol
and as with the others...keep the black j...the black umbrella tip...and no raindrop puzzle pieces.
All: There are 4hrs remaining and Im trying hang around so I can pick the final design. If I happen not to be on at that exact hour, I will return a few hrs after. Good luck to all!
Demona: Hey Demona! Thanks so much for the variations in logo. I think the designs are great, but still a bit more than what is desired. I was hoping to see something with the same effect as your other designs I mentioned. I also was hoping that you created other drafts that were just complete variations of your original concepts. The newer ones are still kinda similar in taste to your original concepts.
#67 - I love the change in the umbrella (the black tip). Let's keep it! Also, let's stick with the black letter J instead of red. Please remove the series of puzzle pieces. The majority voted against it :-(
From the feedback given, please create two drafts (of logo #67) of the following:
draft #1: Black umbrella tip, black letter j, no raindrop puzzle piece series
draft#2: Black umbrella tip, black letter j, no raindrop puzzle piece series, and a faded umbrella in the background with no raindrop puzzle pieces
55-57: are lovely, but i think im gonna stick with the slanted version of the umbrella. when adding the revisions, can you change the tip of the umbrella's color? it's the circular piece at the top.
#55 - can you add the puzzle piece to the umbrella like in #29? Can one draft be identical to the umbrella in 29 and one be a cut of of the puzzle piece similar to 29 (so it will look like a piece is missing)?
Demona: Can you create something as simple and polished as your "I heart" logo or "Erin Says" logo? They have a sleek and mature appeal. Everything meshes well from the text to the colors. Again, my target age group are young adults. The look that you've developed in the logos of yours that I mentioned, gives a good example of what Im looking for.
#30: Can you also remove the faded umbrella (background) in another draft and replace it with puzzle pieces (in the background). You might want to do the following versions: 1.) one huge puzzle piece in the background, 2.) individual puzzle pieces in the background, 3.) one big puzzle with all pieces connected. make the background image dark enough to see (not too dark though. just darker than what it is currently)
Demona: The colors are ideal colors to use, but I think it's too much (blue and red for example) for the entire logo. I was told that the colors are too loud and should be toned down a bit.
Demona: Hello :-) Ok, so after meeting with friends, it was decided that certain parts of your designed are well liked, however the individual parts are liked independent of the others. I think that there are too many elements in the logo that overwhelms the entire image. It's kinda busy. I totally understand that I asked for all parts of what you included, and yes you did deliver. However, the parts need to be more subtle. I think we would like something that is very sleek and simple. Something with a splash of the concept of autism. I think the logos have too many puzzle pieces. In addition, I think we need text and material that looks more attractive to the young adult age group. I was told that the text looks too more appropriate for a younger age group. I need something more simple and sleek with a splash of autism.
#30 - Im totally just now recognizing the faded umbrella in the logo. lol. Wow! I thought I was seeing things since I've been looking at the screen all day. I like that image though! Do you think it'll be visible enough on all forms of marketing materials? Again, I'm only asking based upon how it's being viewed by me at the moment. It could totally look different once transferred on other marketing tools. What do you think about having the rest of the logo slightly overlap the faded umbrella? ...Like moving it to the left... Or maybe even putting the logo inside of the faded image. Im not sure. Both concepts may mess up the original concept. However, it doesnt hurt to see.
A small man holding an umbrella with the text "the rain man project" larger than him. kinda the reverse of the other concept I just sent to you. The umbrella does not have to be directly above his head. It can lean in a certain direction. The man does not have to face full frontal. If it looks cool for him to stand in a different direction, that's fine. You can show options to both.
1.) A businessman (large in size) who is holding an umbrella and the text "the rain man project" smaller than the man but somewhere adjacent to him....Maybe the text can be above him, below him, next to him. The font of the text should look as polished as the businessman. You can be creative where you may want the autism symbol to be....maybe in his tie...or you can stick with the options you've used before. Remember, they all don't have to be used at once. Meaning, you dont have to put puzzle pieces in everything.
Demona: I am still trying to figure out how to give feedback on your original concepts. There are individual parts of them all that I like, but I need to sit with a friend so that I can incorporate what would look the best. I love the puzzle pieces within the word rain. I cannot quite get what I would like to tweak. I think I would like to see a variation in font. I would also like to see a variation in the man that you are currently using. Can the puzzle pieces in the umbrella be done as stripes? meaning single strips of puzzle pieces, similar to what the pattern is in a regular umbrella with stripes, but with connected puzzle pieces as stripes.
Demona and skysthelimit: your drafts are most favored by not only myself, but my friends. I will be meeting with a few of them tomorrow so that they can see the variations up close and personal. Their feedback will help me make a decision. If you have an idea that is completely something other than what I have communicated to you, feel free to submit that. I feel as though the best work may come from your own creativity and concepts. My thought process as it pertains to such a project is very limited. My creativity is providing the bare minimum of talent, feel free to express your own. I've seen your work. It's very creative. Just a thought :-)
Skysthelimit:(suggestions given by a friend) using the most recent drafts you submitted (#28 and on), can you: relocate the umbrella so that it serves as both the "i" in rain and "j" in project? Also, is there a way to put the raindrops under the umbrella?
#29 & #31: Can you make the puzzle pieces fall in a random raindrop pattern over the umbrella? I totally like the way it is now, but I wanna see what it would look like if the puzzle pieces were falling in a similar pattern like rain would as opposed to the linear pattern that's generated now.
I have submitted revisions, I made the Autism a little bigger so that it would be visible by any type. Also, I have put color just like you requested. Hope it works :)
