The OT Centre is a new, small, young, company which will be going to market early in the new year. It has been founded by an experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) and an IT Project Manager. Our intent is to provide highly skilled Occupational Therapy Services to specific, defined, markets. Whilst we currently have 1 OT practitioner (co-founder), we plan to grow in capability and stature over the course of 2011, developing a network of Associate OT’s. We expect our mainstay contracts to be based around business in the private health and rehabilitation sector (Case Management & Rehabilitation companies, Solicitors) and individuals (assessment & advice on home and equipment). We may well, in the future, consider contracts to the National Health Service and Social Services. As such we need to strike an image balance which is both ‘corporate’ yet ‘approachable’. The market for independent (private) OT companies such as ours is immature. At the moment, existing practitioners generally operate single-handed and part time, with very limited focus on a business identity, market presence and capability. We see this as a great opportunity for a company which has a keen business sense and aspires to provide and present a professional, capable, assured and personable service and aims to grow its capability. We are determined to better ‘the rest’, in terms of the quality of the services we provide, the way we deal with our clients and contracts, the way we attract and treat our staff, the way we manage our business and the technologies we use along the way. It is important that these aims are underpinned and conveyed by our image. Occupational Therapists help people of all ages who have physical or cognitive problems as a result of accident, illness or ageing, to do the things they want to do. These could be daily activities that many of us take for granted, from grocery shopping or brushing your teeth, to more complex activities such as caring for children, succeeding in studies or work, or maintaining a healthy social life. An Occupational Therapist will advise on the provision of adaptive equipment or changes to the physical environment, or devise and implement a programme of rehabilitative therapy to enable a person to get the most out of life. The OT Centre’s fully qualified and experienced OT’s will work directly with clients to provide an assessment of their needs and carry out rehabilitative input based on goal setting. Occupational Therapy is regulated by the Health Professions Council and has a number of professional bodies to which we subscribe. |

We are currently mocking-up a website at theotcentre.cloudaccess.net. At the time this design brief is submitted, there will be little or no content (words), though the design is in place (template, structure and themes). Please have a look at the site. Note: 1. The homepage currently has “The OT Centre” where the Logo will go. If the Logo design already incorporates this text, then the text on our website can easily be removed. 2. The colour scheme of common components in our site - eg text headings and menu’s - currently green and black - can change to harmonise with the logo as necessary. The logo therefore need not necessarily colour co-ordinate with those elements 3. The Banner image on the home-page will stay. The logo design should therefore harmonise with this, in terms of colour. |
