In reviewing everything complete to number #136, the major emphasis appears to be on the graphic as opposed to the text. We want and need to primary focus to be on the text and font. The graphic is only an interesting piece and should not dominate the overall logo. Less dominate graphics would be #42, #69, #70, #104. We need the interest to come within the font and type rather than a graphic.
I wanted to thank everyone for all there submissions thus far (thru #49). Here are some comments.
In reviewing the graphic element in each logo, I think a more subtle and universal graphic needs to be applied (ex: #11, #42). In thinking about the concept of universal, it needs to be able to work in a city/urban environment, as well as a garden/suburban environment. Many of the graphics include city skyline details and that is not universal enough for a suburban area.
In commenting on text and font selection, I would like for the "Hanover" to be the primary and prominent type and "Rice Village" to be the secondary (see: #23, #44).
Another angle worth considering in design is working with the "H" to be the graphical element either as a separate piece (#11) or incorporated into the "H" of "Hanover".
Thank you for all your work thus far and look forward to seeing some new submissions.
