Find some additional information below. John is a mechanical design engineer and avid inventor with over 15 years of design and product development experience. He has spent his career engineering, designing, inventing, managing, and supporting the manufacturing of a wide variety of industrial and commercial grade products. These products include medical devices, consumer electronic accessories and sporting equipment across a diverse number of industries from pet products to photography and surgical equipment. His skills as a product engineer, a machinist and an independent consultant for a variety of startups and small businesses make him invaluable in his role as Vice President and Chief Technical Officer at XShot LLC. Stump has authored several patent applications and is listed as inventor of 4 published U.S. utility patents, with six other patent applications pending. Stump earned his B.S. in mechanical engineering from UC Santa Barbara and has Business Professional Certification from UCSB Extension Program. He owns and operates his own prototype machine and fabrication shop. Recent awards IDSA Gold Design of the Decade 2010, Medical Design Excellence Award Gold 2011, and International Design Excellence Award 2011.
