Finally I've managed to get the client to decide on a final logo with a few changes I'll need to make to it.
The winning design is #67
Thanks for all your patience, I'm going to review my procedures to ensure there isn't a delay like this in future contests.

Apologies for the delay, the client went on holiday without telling me.
I've just finall found out that he's back on Monday, so I'm going to force him to pick a winner as this has gone on much longer than it should.
I appreciate your patience in this and hope that you understand that it's the client that has caused all these delays.

I've got the client down to two logos, so hopefully I'll be able to pick a winner today.

Liking the different take on the logos, but I think the colours are a bit to fluorescent / bright can you try blue, purple or orange (colours the client specified in a comment), but with more solid and duller or pastel tones.

I didn't get long with the client so unfortunately not much feedback to give. They seen the two latest logos #78 and #79 and like how different they looked, particluarly #78 (as well as #71).
There isn't long left now on the contest, so I would appreciate one last push to offer the client a last number of logos to choose from, thanks for your time.

I've now requested the extention to the contest for 3 more days.
I would like to also say that a lot of people are layering the lighting on top of the CPE at the bottom. As much as I like this I think the client would like to see some different layouts of text as the logos are starting to look very similar now because of that style.
I am really happy by the quality shown here and if I was picking a finalist, I would have a hard time doing so.
I will come back with as much feedback from the client tomorrow as I possibly can, to try to pin him down to a more descriptive concept.

I'm going to be extending this contest as the client hasn't quite seen a logo that he would be completely happy using. There are some very close ones so far, but there is still an opportunity for you designers to win this one.
I noticed that some designers have decided to withdraw their logos, which I find a shame as the client hasn't made up their mind completely yet and could upon reflection pick one of these.
If there are logos they completely don't like I will eliminate them, so please don't withdraw unless it's a duplicate.

The client has requested to see logos in the colours purple, Blue and Orange for any new logos created and if Draft #36, #35 & #9 could be redone with this colour scheme in mind that would be great.

Something I've just noticed about this logo is that the C is larger than the other letters, so looks a little out of place.

I plan on showing the client the range of logos created so far later today (currently 9am UK time). I plan on doing this towards the end of our working day about 4-5pm.
I will then post as much client feedback as possible to help all the designers.

#26 I like the bottom version of this logo more than the top one. I think that the little flash star doesn't come across when the logo is small and when it is big it seems out of place with the rest of it. It might work as a cut out shape on the logo or have the white stroke around it or possibly be removed all together.
#27 I think the light looks too much like a lamp rather than a stage light, so maybe it could work if that is changed. Also potentially have the stage light on the top part of the E shining down on the bottom lighting part might work better.
#28 This logo isn't quite working for me, I'm not sure if it's the colours (mainly the colour used on CPE seems too dark) or the circles at the side are too simple and don't really convey anything.
#29 This one I'm liking (more again the bottom right one), but the flash again seems to just be there with no purpose, maybe have it as the first I's dot or something.

p.s. you asked about #15 & #16 I think if you play with the shapes for example it seems like they should have white strokes on them as well to match the rest of the logo. Also different layouts would be nice to see but keeping the same basic style that you've created.

I don't think #24 works for me, but #25 might have potential, maybe something like simplifying the colours/gradients down to more subtle ones?

Yeah #23 better than #20, I guess the tag line is probably too bulky to be put in the logo by the looks of things.

#21 isn't working for me, but I think #22 has some potential, I'm not quite sure where it could be taken, but something with the line of the E.
I don't know if it's just me but the middle line of the E looks like it should be the same height as the top of the L, just to tidy that little area up.

I think the CPE part is working quite well in this logo, but the balance seems off or something isn't quite working with the bottom part for me.

I'm not sure about the lightning flash and if it works for the company.

I can't put my finger on it, but I like this one.

As good as this bulb is, the company does stage lights mostly, so after looking at it I think best to say no light bulbs as it looks too much like they sell just bulbs. Potentially the shape of a stage light might work if anyone is looking to add a light of some kind.
