We are looking for a design to use as both a logo and smartphone app icon. Our smartphone app is called "Hey DJ". It is used by karaoke singers to send song requests to the DJ's from their iPhones/Android Phones. Because of the limitations of app icons, the design will need to be a 1:1 ratio. (Square) It should be detailed but not contain any important small-scale intricacies as they will be impossible to see on a small phone screen. The same icon will be used on our website so it will also be visible on a larger screen. Our preliminary vision includes the use of the name "Hey DJ" while incorporating a microphone and wireless waves (wi-fi symbol). We would like to see submissions using these features but we are also open to new ideas. We do not yet have a color-scheme in mind. We would like to incorporate both an entertainment feel as well as a high-tech feel. |
