We are closing in on the final hours of accepting entries. I have really seen a lot of talent displayed in these multifaceted logos. Please apply any finishing touches to your logos so that I can present the best to our staff so that we can choose the winning design. I want to thank all designers who submitted an entry. It is going to be tough deciding on one with so many great designs. Good Luck! :-)

It should be noted that I like the dragon's wings to be fully extended. They are important since I will be using the wings separately as an alternate logo. The wings will probably be on the bottle cap tops and on the kegs.

I haven't decided on a permanent tag line yet. Also try 'Upcountry Artisan Ales' instead of 'Handcrafted in Greenville, SC'.

It looks like I made a mistake. Handcrafted is one word without a hyphen. Thanks and I am really seeing a lot of talent in these designs!

Designs 34,53,54,59,63,68,76,79, and 80 are on the right track. Look to these examples as what sort of logo I'm looking for. Thanks and Great job so far!

#63 - Great original design! A few changes: I would like to see a more original, distinctive font for 'Green Dragon' The colors of the text and text box need to be altered. Also, his head might need to be altered and shrank. I love the placement of hop vines and leaves! The sky behind it's head is also great! Good work!

Be sure the dragon isn't scary with fangs and claws extended ready to attack. I do not want to give off the impression that our product is harmful or intimidating. Also, more earthy, natural fonts are needed. Possibly wooden or on old, torn parchment paper.

Numbers 25, 34, 35 - Try a different dragon and more distinctive fonts (such as the font of DRAGON in #42 or in my design). Thanks!

I put together a collection of logos in the industry I think are great. Please use these as reference. My logo has to be as good as these:

    Thanks!

@shadeline. It is the best place I've ever lived.

Browsing thru all the photos of Greenville, SC kind of makes me want to leave my hometown and go to Greenville, SC! :P

More distinctive and creative fonts are needed in the designs I see so far. Think rustic, earthy, wooden, or natural looking fonts for "Green Dragon". The 'Brewing Co.' can be a different font and secondary in the logo. The 'Hand-crafted in Greenville, SC' is not a must. If it adds to the logo, feel free to use it. If it makes the logo look jumbled, do not include it. Thanks and good luck!

Here is a rough logo for reference. The logo we were working on was on the right track. We needed to incorporate 'green' elements like leaves, mountains, the sky, etc. I liked the old, wooden, earthy font. The dragon's wings should definitely be spread out like in this logo. The wings can then be used separately on bottlecaps or an alternate logo.

    Some thoughts on the design:
-The dragon type should be fairly close to a medieval dragon. I am not aiming for the long, skinny dragon.
-Leaves, vines (Hop vines), mountainous landscape, rivers, trees, cloudy sky, etc. could be incorporated to give a natural, earthy feel.
-an example of hop vines (Hops are used to make beer)

I like the hidden letters in this logo. Notice how the leaves contain a 'G' and an "i"

    Thanks for the great work!

Please review my input, the sample logos, and websites mentioned in my brief for guidance. Also, be sure to make the design nature-oriented, modern, and 'earthy.' Thanks and good luck!

Please try to work towards a professional design. I am OK with a good, simple design or a complex logo. Try not to build off other's designs, if possible. The concept needs to communicate creativeness, nature, reliable, local, and FRESH. Have fun with it! Good luck!
