    #24 is almost there!

We like the top row with the brown bottles. Thanks for letting us compare.

    A few more tweaks:

Can you put the cap back on the bottle in the first logo? Maybe with a small break of brown glass between the cap and the neckseal (like in the molotov from draft #12) indicating that it has been opened.

I think the other 3 bottles are done -- no changes to those.

Back to the text. We like the text in #24 except for the letter 'S' A similar font with a more traditional 'S' would work well. Also, we decided we'd like the text on above the bottles (at least for the glass & molotov logos--the rocket logo looks so nice with the text in the wake and the cone popping out of the box that you can leave it there if you like). Feel free to make the text a bit smaller so the bottles can be larger.

    That's pretty much it!

Draft #19 is definitely getting there.

Can I see what it would look like if the drinking glass in the first logo was clear? I like the brown bottle, but my partner thinks that might look better clear too. Can we see it both ways?

Can you make the flames in the second logo sketch to match the rest of it?

The text still needs something. I'd like to see it in capital letters, and if there's something else you can think of to do with it, please do. It looks too "plain" right now.

    Keep up the great work!

    In regards to draft #12:

First off, we like where this one is headed. You're definitely on the right track.

The bottle looks very nice. The black label is nice because it's a spot where we could put issue number, etc. So definitely keep that.

The text should be quite a bit smaller, and I'm not too fond of the cartooney serif font. Something a little less "friendly" and a little more "professional". Maybe something along the lines of a grotesk, but feel free to experiment.

The logo should be taller than it is wide. Bear in mind his needs to fit on the front of a comic book, somewhat innocuously, but still serve a very important purpose - we need to keep it slender and still be able to re-format is for use across a number of different formats. we need to have a "box" for all intents and purposes, so the design needs to be able to fit into an orientation such as the old-school Marvel logo/info box. Here is an example:

For the "standard" (bottle & glass) logo, the middle one is my favorite.

For the "independent" (molotov) logo, there should be no cap on the bottle, and the rag could be a bit larger/more prominent. Also, we'd love to see something a bit "rougher" for that version, a bit more anarchistic, scratchier, looser, more independent looking.

For the "kid friendly" (rocket) logo, the wings and tilted bottle look very nice, but it needs to go a bit beyond that. Right now it still gives me the vibe of "encouraging kids to drink alcohol" which is definitely something we want to avoid. Perhaps that bottle could be changed to look more like a soda bottle, or alternatively, the bourbon bottle could be fitted with a nose cone and fins to make it look more like a rocket.

The additional version you did with the empty bottle on its side is a very nice addition, and I can see some potential uses for that as well.

    Great work so far!

    Please read the brief.

We are not looking for a logo based on our initials. We are specifically looking for a logo based on a bottle of bourbon. For more specifics, please read the brief.
