SDEA Executive Summary: Today’s high school athletic administrators and coaches are asked to enter schedule, roster, and score data into multiple products. At the same time, venders serving these high schools increasingly have to integrate with each other’s various systems to meet more demands. The SDEA is a not for profit organization with a goal of establishing programming protocols which facilitate this exchange of data so a school using any of dozens of participating software companies can decide which organizations can have their data. At the same time, programming protocols will reduce data integrity errors and implementation time for participating vendors. It may help have the world “data” with arrows coming out in all directions. Ideally a high school athletic administrator could see the logo and know that we help them make it so their favorite software can send data to various media outlets, their website, and their other administrative products. Or, just that their data is getting spread around. |
