We're really pleased with the quality of the designs that have been submitted and it's giving us plenty of options to consider.
Although we're not basing our final decision at this late stage on this guidance, we would ask who ever wins to submit some designs with the logo (icon) on the left, with the wording to the right. As seen in nearly all designs the company name broken on to two lines. We feel it works better this way.
It's still very much open to more applications. All star ratings of '4' are contenders for winning the final logo design, and our team are reviewing ratings of '3' once again to see whether the designs have grown on us any more.
Many thanks for all the really innovative and exciting designs that have been submitted so far!
You may upload multiple variations of one logo in one draft for the presentation purpose. However, winner of the contest will have to send final files with each version separated hence, one file should only have one color version of the finalized logo.
We would appreciate your cooperation in this regards.
Most of the designs being submitted are incorporating the 'cog' into the symbol - many of which look great. However we're now really keen to see some designs that move away from the cog and incorporate other concepts.
Firstly thanks for all the drafts so far. As a way to help designers grasp the concept further we're providing a bit more guidance to try and help.
I really like the way the font goes on to two lines in draft #8, it looks better than having the font all on the same line due to the length of company name. Some of the designs are a bit too complex to remember and we want a really strong theme to run in the icon of the logo.
Some other concepts people have discussed that might offer a strong theme is sections of circle (a sector of a circle), or a tree or plant growing branches..... here's some examples we've found online:
