I've contacted logodesignguru support and they've extended the contest just for you 3 to submit your final revisions per my private messages to each of you.
I apologize for not knowing you could not submit them after the contest had closed. Please submit them ASAP as our meeting is in the next hour do select our final winner.

As you can see those selected for our final three are designs #79, #352, and #174. Should minor modifications be necessary, I will be sending a private message to you with as much detail as I can come up with for our meeting tomorrow afternoon to pick our final winner.
Thank you all again, your collective efforts and individual talent was quite impressive. I'll be recommending this site at any opportunity I get.

All posted designs will be ranked by Monday July 11 @ 8:30 am CST. All designs with a 3 star rating or higher will then be posted for review by partners at 9:30 am. Those designs will be narrowed down to the top 3. From Monday through Friday morning we will be gathering feedback from 50 - 75 clients, staff, and other business advisors. That feedback will be compiled Friday morning and the partners will be meeting at 5:00 CST to pick our logo. Later that evening that decision will be reflected online.
After the logo is chosen, designers should know that there may still some final minor revisions requested by the winning designer.
Please put your best effort into delivering to us what you believe we are looking for. Please post a message to me and over the next 3 days I'll do my best to guide you to best understand what we're looking for.

Item 1) They'd like to see you include "Since 1957" in the logo as thats when the business was started. That could be used before or after the tagline, or on its own with out the tagline. I'd encourage all designs from here forward to integrate that into their design, even if you don't use the tagline.
Item 2) They prefer the direction of the "pillar" concept to what they are seeing in the open concept designs. The open concept designs are too cutting edge, and not conservative enough for their tastes. That doesn't mean to stop with the open designs if you have a good one, they just need to be more conservative and classic rather than progressive and contemporary.
Item 3) They are also open to using other rich, warm colors such as deep reds and greens. Those colors should not be used along with the deep blue in a logo, but as a compliment to the silver, grey, black tones you've been using so far.
I'll also consider enhancing the prize amount by $50 should we see a wide range of options from the designers integrating the three items identified above over the next 3 days.
The next three days is a holiday, so my comments may slow in frequency. However, I may also find time to give individual designers direct feedback as I see them striving to give us more of what we like and less of what we say we don't in that feedback.
Great efforts, and again, we're looking to a tremendous final product from this skilled designer community.

I like your upwards sweeping pillars / bars, however we'd like to see a "foundation" under them with 2 shorter, 2 middle and 1 longest pillar / bar, not necessarily in that order. Not liking the "SFG" and would prefer you integrate our current uploaded logo for our name.
Nice work thus far, also please see my other notes in previous comments to the group and individual designers.

You will see I've eliminated numerous designs and re-ranked all remaining
designs. I'm still looking for more "texture" or "depth" on the pillars for those designs on that track. Also, on the designs with the 5 pillars as requested, i believe we'd prefer the two pillars on the outside be shorter, the next to closer to the middle to be taller than those, and the middle pillar being the tallest.
I'll be providing more direct feedback for all actively participating designers in the next day as I begin to review the contenders with my other partners.

14, 17 four stars for using current Schreck logo as is and designing an icon with five "pillars" as requested for concept 1. These two designs are moving in the right direction, for strong consideration as our first concept but there is no "strong foundation" with them.
Having 5 "pillars" is important for two reasons; 1) we have five senior partners and 2) there are five elements to our financial planning, risk management, investment returns, tax efficiency, guaranteed lifetime income, and liquidity (access to money).
We will also be using the "pillars and foundation" from the final winner's design individually as collateral representing the five elements for our planning stated above. So be mindful of the look of what the pillars and foundation will look like on their own.
The "strong foundation" is important also for two reasons: 1) it represents our founder and 2) The underlying theme for our planning is "financial protection / guarantees".
While Concept 2 is open to all of your creative design on the icon, it must still utilize the current logo as is.

Great start but SFG can't rate any higher than 3 until the current logo is integrated with new logo as is.
