  PREMIO

  bar & restaurant

  No

The logo is for a modern fine dining restaurant (meaning good, refined food, without the fine-linens or pretension). It is named "premio" as it means something like an award, a treat, or a prize. Likewise, it also means 'plate' or 'dish' in Spanish... Our cuisine is somewhat undefinable in that it is a globally influenced type of cuisine. We refrain from the word 'fusion' as it only leads to a pre-conceived notion of confusion; but having an Irish, a German and a Spanish-American as chefs (located in the Philippines), our cuisine will definitely have global influences, tweaked for the local palate. It is the sort of food that locals would like to eat on a daily basis but cooked in a refined way with the best ingredients (i.e. Pork & Beans usually is thought of as a canned food, but in the restaurant it would be served with farm-fresh exquisite cut of pork belly with nice large white canneloni beans, thick sauce, etc.). We concentrate on simplicity and deliciousness through quality and execution in cooking. The restaurant is located in the heart of the financial/expat filled district of town, so we simply want diners to come in and be "awarded" and "treated" with good, proper, simply delicious food. Something they can look forward to after a day's work.... Our business has two-storeys. The ground floor is meant to be a high-traffic, quicker eating, lunch time crowd (similar to a Dean & Deluca or Eataly in NYC), whereas the 2nd floor serves the dinner crowd, having a more dressed up menu. Adjacent to this dining area is a smoking bar/lounge, serving fine cigars, single malt whiskies, other cocktails, etc.

Open to any suggestions... but our furniture consists of mustard yellow upholstery with wood finishes for dining chairs... Black galaxy granite table tops... Black wrought iron stair banister... light brown brick walls and staircase... lit up black galaxy granite/Onyx stone striped bar... floor to ceiling glass storefront.... Black and eggshell white Machuca tile patterned flooring... We can post pictures to give you more of an idea of what could match.

  not sure

Would definitely like to avoid any whimsical or "cartoony" designs... this is because the word "premyo" in Filipino, supposedly, has sort of a "cheap" connotation. It is the sort of "prize" or "premyo" that you would receive when playing Bingo or win in the sweepstakes... We would like to redefine this thought.... We are also hoping that the logo would transfer well on plenty other mediums, as we have the intention of using it as the signage for the restaurant -- maybe etched on metal/wood/glass. We are open to all ideas and would love to see really innovative ideas. Thank you very much! Looking forward to seeing your designs.
